Congratulations to jjashaa for winning January 2011 Car of the Month
This month was a bit unusual as I decided to have the showcase open to all makes and models including Acuras. There weren't many submissions this month, but the cars that did submit were absolutely amazing. As in the past, the decision was tough on who should take the win. Josh has turned his Genesis into what the name means. The coming of a beginning. He stepped out of the Acura realm for the first time and started off right with a great platform that has been a head turner since day one and has become an icon both on Acurazine as well as the Genesis forums. His car always seems to generate a crowd especially at the Acura meets and Im sure his daily parking spots tend to do the same. Once again Josh, Congratulations, it is much deserved.

2. Where are you from? Born - South Korea, Current - La Palma, CA
3. What was your first car? 2003 Acura 3.2TL-P NBP/Beige w/Navi
4. Did you have an Acura before your Genesis and if so why did you go with the Genesis over another Acura? Yes. The 2G TL was dying! Dam transmission.. I didn't feel like spending the money to fix a car that was worth as much as a transmission so I went on a quest to buying a new car. I needed a car that was $30k+ and the Genesis appealed to me only because it was in that range and had a good amount of power assuming I was going to keep the car stock...... which obviously didn't happen and that leads to 5
5. What got you into modifying your Genesis and what was your first mod? IIRC, weeks after I post pictures of my wonderful stock genesis coupe, my friend at Import Image Racing (VA) hits me up and says they just got a batch of Genesis Coupe coilovers in from BC Racing. He gave me an exclusive price and shipped it over. In week 3 of owning the car, I installed the coilovers and the itch to get rid of that dreaded amber diffuser began. I found the KDM headlights that also came black housed, the vendor gave me a deal with headlights and CAI. Couldn't pass that up. From then on.. sponsorship. haha
6. Do you have any future plans for your Genesis? Future plans. Hopefully I can go F/I.. but we'll wait and see what my sponsor has in store for me. haha
7. Any special thanks that you would like to give (members of the forum, certain shops or individuals that inspired you or helped you)..?Firstly, my dad. Greatest person in the world! Billy @ Import Image Racing for sending me the BC Racing coilovers for a GREAT price and crzygosu87 for the help with the install. Rally Innovations for keeping my car safe. Congrats! Definetely well-deserved, and the best part is that I bet the car isn't even close to finished yet
