Inside my '13 Ford Focus ST build

Picked her up last night after work. Today it's cloudy and a bit rainy but I snapped a few photos. My nice P&S camera's battery is dead, so while that is charging, I used my iPhone.

Ambient lighting system. There are LEDs in the door handles, bottom door pockets, footwells, cup holders, and maybe a couple of other places. Cool thing is, when you open a door, the door's LEDs turn red to indicate it's open. There are several different colors to choose from, as well.

The color changer, brightness dial, and moonroof control.

Did my first quick mod, installed the Green Filter. I love the sound. This is with the airbox currently off.

The rest of today I'll be debadging the "Focus", and removing the damn dealer sticker, even after I specifically told my salesman to make sure they don't put it on.

Then I'm going to run up to Costco and get a nice jack and jack stands. If I have enough time, I'll install the Steeda rear sway bar.

Let the modding commence!

I will update with driving impressions in a few days. Haven't taken her out enough, yet. But so far the transmission is smooth and a ton of fun. And the ST handles pretty damn well. Oh, and it's fast. So much low end torque.

Awesome You're not wasting time either.

Love the ambient lighting. Is that the gas cap tucked behind the taillight?

Nice!
Pretty sure a Focus ST with the ST3 package and a sunroof will just tick $30k with destination.

Don't know what kind of discount he got though.

Congrats, man! That's a great looking car. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

Those seats are amazing. Kudos to Ford for bringing the Recaros over to the States.

Drove up to Costco. She looks great in the parking lot. The silver is really starting to grow on me and I love it.

Yep, that's the gas cap on the back right. It uses a capless system, as well. I'll take a shot of it next time. It's pretty cool.

Nice!
The MSRP for the 202A Package (ST3) plus moonroof option is $29,825. I only managed to get the dealer to come a few hundred off. Most dealers are not budging from the price at all. However, if you can get X-Plan or the other Ford plans, you can get special discounts. But I'm not eligible for any of those.

The rear seats are manageable. I've seen others fit a car seat back there pretty easily but for those on the taller side it might be a bit tight for longer drives. I'll try to take a photo of the rear seats next time.

Me like! Ford did a great service for enthusiasts by bringing this car to the USA. Let us salute Ford for taking the risk

Looks good, sounds good, and hopefully it drives good.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I appreciate it.

I am definitely going to get the windows tinted. I am going to set up an appointment with the shop in town. 35% is the lowest allowed in IL so I will stick with that all around. Should really make her look even better.

Considering how it comes equipped, honestly, no compalints...30k isn't that bad nowadays. I do get x plan thru my job too, but I'd likely spring for a 5.0 if I do it.
