Ok i have some bad news. I recently found out at work we are having the Annual PARC Conference that week in Las Vegas. So unfortunately I will not be able to attend the event. I appoligize to all. I will gladly help to plan the trip but would request that someone else please be in charge of the event day. If anyone would like to take over just let me know and i will give you all the information that i have obtained. thanks guys. I will definitly make the next meet up

I personally say... If only 5 of us wanna do blue ridge and 20 of us wanna do skyline... We just do skyline. Not really a big deal. Group needs to be at least 10-15 people to go to BR or its gunna be boring.

So that's my .02c lets do Skyline then. Also I think capping this out to like 20-25 cars might also be a good idea... either that or do multiple convoys.

i've never been to blue ridge or skyline so maybe someone thats been there before and knows the routes and stuff can coordinate this meet.........

 

I would like to join if this meet is still going down. I drive an 03 TL s but for something like this I would like to take out my 91 Legend if its cool with everyone. Oh and I'm down for skyline.

 

^ I have a legend too. The GF will be driving that and I'll be in my TL.

Honestly I don't care which way this meet goes. I'm only going to go for the meetup in Manassas then I'm out.

So if this is going to be a majority votes thing then cool.

 

Since everyone is worried about distance and long drives etc. I say we just ride the Skyline.

We can do what we have been doing for the past several years.

4 Rally points. One meet spot before heading into Skyline together.

Legs 1-3 meeting 10:00am to depart at 11:00am meeting at the final rally point in Manassas at noon. Leaving Leg 4 at 1:30PM sharp to head to Skyline.

-Leg 1 White Flint mall (Rockville, MD/Top level of the garage near Dave & Busters)

-Leg 2 Arundel Mills mall (Baltimore/PA. area/Other N states)

-Leg 3 10400 Eaton Pl Fairfax VA 22030 (NOVA/Office building lot)

-Leg 4 11380 Bulloch Dr, Manassas, VA 20109 Off Rt.66 (Final rally point/ Separate parking lot on your left)

More Northern & Southern VA or other states can create their own leg to head to the final rally point.

AFTER THE FINAL RALLY POINT WE WILL GATHER EVERYONE AND DISCUSS TRAVELING TO SKYLINE.

The reason why we have these is to encourage people to ride out together and it increases the chances of people coming to these meets. Not everyone wants to drive alone to somewhere further away. This also helps to organize and transit people who aren't so great with directions. It would be ideal to have a captain for each leg to lead the way.

-We are going to have to call the park and notify them of our group rolling in.

Common sense rules apply. No speeding, racing, burning out, reckless behavior. If you want to fall off 1000-10904 feet from the air onto your death, Be my guest. They also have oncoming traffic too.

This meet could be more of a chill cruise and a chance to enjoy scenery.

I have a mini grill we could use to get the hamburgers and such going if anyone is hungry up there.

The Manassas rally point has many restaurants people could dine in. So if you want to grub before heading to the mountains, do so if you please.

Personally, I dont care which route we take. If Skyline seems like the smarter decision, lets do it.

 

It's simpler and minimizes complaints from the people up here. We'll do a separate Blueridge meet in the spring for the people down south.

I always see the SOVA guys making the trip up but never NOVA guys heading down there for a meet. Time for a change next time.

 

Maybe not the NOVA guys heading down, but I know a MD guy that's made the drive a few times haha

If I'm free, you can definitely count me in for this meet!


Before, we have always done this meet on a Sunday. Do we want to keep with that and do it on Sunday Oct. 16?

 

Sunday is football day. Not too sure who wants to pass that up and beer. We always do it on a Sunday though.

Still taking everybody's input. I want this to be a successful meet haven't been to a good one in a while.

If this changes to Sunday I might be down and might be able to convince my cousin who might be out there that morning too. I think I'd be the same as you Jake and just do the Manassas meet up.
