looking for a car for my moms, is this a good deal?

Found a 2007 Honda accord 2.4L, with 56000kms, navi, leather, sunroof, new winter tires, 16" rims with 50-60% tread.

For $25500 all in, taxes and everything. give or take like 500, i forgot the exact price.

Should she get it?

Car is in real good condition, all regular maintenance done, new pads. car drives smooth. motor sounds brand new, and everything is in top shape, with the exception of like 2-3 scratches, but oh well. interior is brand new looking. mint

and the remainder of the 120000km powertrain warranty.

one previous owner and carfax is clean.

What do you guys/girls think?

MODS: sorry if i'm not supposed to be posting this kinda thing here but I gotta ask. It for my MOMS, just trying to make sure she gets what she deserves.

I assume you are quoting in Canadian dollars as you're from Ontario. I'm sure the price quoted to her includes both provincial and federal taxes, but I still find it to be somewhat pricy, especially for a four cylinder model.

I think she could do better on the price by a few thousand dollars.

Too much $$$, converted to USD its still over $24k.

Not worth it for an i4 Accord with nearly 35k miles on it.

Most of us can't do the conversion. That said, it looks to be close to the price you can get a new on for. Business is not great and there should be good deals and special financing from the dealer.

Does she need a new car? If money is tight, then why spend more on a rather large expense?

Why not new?

http://www.hondaontario.com/specialoffers/

500 CAD is around $475 USD. My mother got here Accord brand new (EX-L V6, navi) and she pays $507 a month with IIRC 5.9% apr, and that was before the market really tanked.

You can do much better on a new car.

A quick search of autotrader.ca tells me you can do better, but not by much. Shoot for 24K OTR.

Accords really hold their value up here. An 07 EX-L with Nav is worth almost as much as an 07 TSX.

YEA that's why I ended up paying through the nose for my car 12500. then took it acura for 2300 worth of maintenance and what not.

But i just had to have it cause it had 81000kms on her.

Still runs like brand new

SO, for all you guys down south... drive on up here and sell ur car while the CAN $ is high. Make some extra $$ and get a vacation... a cold one but still worth it.

A 2010 4 Cylinder EX-L Navi will run you about ~37K out the door in Ontario.

yea... that's mental I know.

K so I guess that price is still a good deal then.

I hate the motor OMFG, but w/e my moms aint no INDY driver.

And she said,"I only like going fast when getting on the on ramp and jackass is in my way, If I want to go fast robbie I'll just borrow ur car"

:-)

aint that the truth.

I must giv honda props tho, I had NO idea they were that nice on the inside.

I sat in the NEW NEW 2010 accord coupe 6speed v6, DARK gray on even darker gray 18s rims from honda, lower too from honda, and was in HEAVEN.... fuckkkk i want that WHIP

inside is 10/10 for my likings outside was 9/10 due to rims and set-up.

Damn that car grew on me QUICK

Mother of God. The prices of the Accord have shot way up though, I remember my neighbors buying a brand new 04 V6 EX-L for 36kcad back in 03. Stateside, 37k will probabaly put you in a brand new/lightly used G37 sedan.

Given the market, it still seems a bit high. I would think a G35 or a used IS250 would work for her... I don't know what those would cost there.
