it will be a direct bolt on. you might be able to find one in the Black Market for around $525 used. but $600 new is a good deal. do you have a link?

the type 2's have damper control so you can adjust the softness and stiffness of the ride

if u buy a full coilover kit it comes with all necessary hardware.. except camber kits usually

honest opinion...

type 2.5 is cool but just buy type 2 and save your money.. unless you want specific spring rates

as for type 2 vs type 1.. if you're very anal about the damping settings.. i suppose type 2/2.5 for you..

i was perfectly fine with just the type 1

Just ordered thanks for the feedback guys! Anybody that want one just search eBay for 2002 accord coilover. Now would a catback exhaust from a 4drs accord fit our TL?

suspension components are interchangeable between the 99-03 tl and the 98-02 4cyl/v6 accord.

so are exhaust components but only between the 99-03 tl and the 98-02 v6 accord. if you fit an exhaust specifically made for a 99-03 tl onto a 98-02 v6 accord, it will be noticeably longer and if you fit an exhaust made for a 98-02 v6 accord, it'll be shorter.. which is why you would need an extension pipe.

teins work by spring height...

imo, same concept as getting racing springs on stock shocks... drops the car a lot but you have less shock travel...

hello quicker blown shocks.

if you're planning to ride slammed, get something that has a adjustable lower shock body like megan, BC Racing, Function & Form, D2, Ksport, Blackwerks, NEX, Zeal, AMR, RS-R, etc etc.. jus the few off the top of my head... hehe

Im new to acura and looking to lower

So can someone give me the abc's on form function and accords and tl's? I dont know what all this means. I have a 99 Acura TL and want to lower it. WHat is the best recommendation? Coilover? Coilover sleeves? typical springs and shocks?

Welcome to the forum! There is a lot of information out there. It took me about 6 months of researching before I established the setup I used. Before your questions are answered I think you will help the fellow forum members by answering a few questions.

What kind of driving do you do? Do you like the OEM ride or would you like something stiffer? (No homo. ) Are you going to slam your car or is there any kind of look you would like your car to have over the coming years? If you want to go a certain way trust me..... it is best to buy the right parts now! I don't mean necessarily name brands. I just mean if you want to go for a slammed/hella flush/flush/Vip, etc. etc. etc. it is easier to put on the right parts as you go along your modding journey instead of swaping out parts every couple of years. Used parts will definitely become and option if you have enough patience because of the aging 2nd TL/CL, 6th Gen Accord platforms. Sorry guys, I loved my 2nd Gen TL!!!
