labor cost for timing belt and water pump
Hello everyone I'm planning ahead for the 105k water pump/timing belt replacement. curently i have 06 tl with 94k miles on it. i went to a local repair shop to get a quote for the labor cost if i provide my own parts and they quoted 345 for labor, extra $30 for thermosat, so total of $375. they told me i need to provide coolant, water pump, cam shaft seal, crank shaft seal, and timing belt. does the $299 timing belt/water pump kit include the all of the parts above? how much will the seals cost? I don't want to get it done at the stealership this time... thanks in advance

I personally would not change all that stuff man...I would swap the belt only. MAYBE do the water pump if you have any reason to think it will get noisy on you. But I changed the belt only on my J35 Odyssey at 120k and never looked back. And unless the seals are leaking I wouldn't touch them either. Or the T-stat. None of this stuff seems problematic to me...
On the cost for labor does not sound out of line though.

Confucious say replace tensioner, idler pulley, adjuster, and water pump.
Here's a thread with a little more information. I plan on doing mine myself, though.
