I don't know if it is satellite radio ready.

What I can tell you is that the 2004 TSX did NOT have satellite radio in either stock form nor was it available as a factory option.

The 2005 TSX was the first TSX where satellite radio became available from the manufacturer.

2004 does not have have XM satellite radio hardware/equipment. If you look at the rear end of the roof of an 05+ TSX, you'll see a dome...that's the XM satellite radio's antenna. The 04 does not have it.

You'll need to use an adapter to listen to satellite radio.

You'll need an adapter. I had XM for a little while before I tossed it in the garbage. The reception and sound quality were never very good, and I hated having the radio and wires around.

i acutally bought a newer head unit to do this but ended up selling it since i would have needed to still buy the receiver and the wiring to wire the antenna.

You might wanna consider the iPod adapter route- no tools needed to install, no antennas, no paying money for radio. Podcasts are great
