Matching Paint Grill

Can anyone on here who has painted their grill to match their body color post a photo? I'm tempted to get this done on my car but not sure if I'd like the look or not.

Are there any aftermarket grill options as well?

Thanks in advance

James- welcome to the forum.

Luchin has the same colour as yours.

I just installed the OEM Sports Grille from Japan on my CBP:

Mine's been done since October 2008. No clear bra or anything and it's held up great.

CT-E carbon fiber only, on Grigio Metallic:

It might look good with the plastic trim paintmatched as well. I also elected to paint my emblem.

Is there anyway you guys can share what kind of price quotes you guys are getting for this? (Assuming it was done at a body shop)

I'm debating on whether to do this or pick up the Modulo A one now. I'm leaning towards paint-match over aftermarket, but to be able to keep a stock grill for resale value might be beneficial too.

Thanks Guys.

^ im with you on that. debating between painted grill or the replica, IMO the replica looks better with a sports bumper w

Had mine done for $150. (But walked away with a check in my hand instead. But that's another story).

$150 to have painted at the body shop. Had it done about a year ago. No problems with peeling or chipping.

This looks nice. I am considering paint matching my grill also but will definitely purchase a OEM in case something goes wrong or the car needs to be sold...Good Job

I think the paint match looks great on the dark colored cars such as the black or metallic. I haven't seen a white paint matched yet but I expect that it wouldn't look as good

I'm really liking this thread, with all those pictures of various grills. I'll add another one, similar to the one I posted above, but with the Aero bumper:

I dont know about you guys, but the chrome is kind of growing on me. I'm afraid that the matching grill looks too much like a Camry.

I'm going to post a photo of the chrome grill. Just so we have one for comparison in the thread.

I never thought of that, but you're right. It does resemble the Camry. Albeit controversial, (hate it or love it) the grill does give the car personality and give it a "luxurious" feel. Painting it gives it a sportier look imo.

I'm with you on the grill kind of growing on me. But the change is not like, "wow the grill is nice" all of a sudden. It's more like some days, "you know it's not that bad" or some days it's "that thing is freakin' hideous!" I'm kind of in between at times.

...but I've been lookin' around my area for yelp reviews and such. I'm in no rush to get it done at the moment, but I think I'm leanin' towards doing it eventually.

Just buy carbon fiber vinyl wrap online and install onto the grill.
Here is a site: http://www.decalfx.com/carbon_fiber_sheets.html

Grill on my White TSX

Next week take delivery of my new TSX, White/tan, will tint windows same day, may add the smaller decklid spoiler.
Not hot on the grill (as so many mention), seen painted on black TSX's & looks great, same with gray. But on white I am thinking I may not like it. I see reference to CT/E carbon fiber grill, appears that is on the top portion only, that may look good on my white, and then chrome on the bottom portion only. What do you think?
Where do you purchase the carbon fiber grill from.

Thanks, excited to get the TSX

before you buy a CTE carbon fiber grill, try painting it flat black yourself and see if you like it or not. might save yourself $230

Anyone know where and how much I can get a OEM grill from/for so that I can color match it to my car and still have the original stock unit?

Why would you need a 2nd OEM one?

Why not just paint your's, then when you decide you need an OEM one for whatever reason, pick one up then.

I'd rather have the original untouched. Just personal preference.
