Laying an LCD TV on its back
I need to transport my 32 inch LCD TV to my new place. It wont fit in the car upright, so I was thinking about laying it in the trunk where it should fit just fine. I have read that this is bad for Plasma's but am not sure about LCDs. Will this be bad for my TV or should I be OK?
Thanks

Actually it is ok to briefly lie it on its face also. My Samsung actually recommends this position when cleaning it.

Lying either plasmas or LCDs on their face won't hurt anything in the short term.
What will hurt it is if the glass layers are pressed together...as in the screen contacting something while allowing weight to bear on it. Also, over the long term, you can have the panes of glass bow and flax donward in the middle inder their own weight. The same forces apply when the panes are upright, but the glass is far stronger in resisting compression than it is resisting a sheering force.
