<p>I haven't, but $200 sounds a bit steep for just painting the grille.</p>

its about right.
unless you have homie hook up deal, small pieces cost just as much as large pieces

<p>Pearl drives cost up.. mostly paying for prep work, and time... min 3 days to get a good paint matched piece done.</p>

Dip it!
Although, be warned because after i peeled the dip of, it took the factory silver off with it. Mine is a 2010 though so you have the different paint on yours. So now I am forced to dip or paint match.......or $66 for the silver and chrome piece shipped.....decisions decisions

Pearls do take longer to paint and cost more for the added step. If you're going to do it, get it done right and don't cheap out

<p>Just did this today. Had an extra grille so decided I'd experiment. I left it as one piece since the &quot;A&quot; looked like it was riveted in place.</p><p>Wet sanded with 400 grit, 4 coats of primer, wet sanded again with 400 grit, then 4 coats of OEM CBP from rattle can.</p><p>Still have to clear coat it, wet sand, then buff. Hopefully it'll turn out ok.</p><p>Price of experiment (minus stuff I already have laying around) was only $20 for the paint.</p><p><a href="http://s134.photobucket.com/user/ulrblitzer/media/Cars/20150821_090920.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img alt="" src="http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q107/ulrblitzer/Cars/20150821_090920.jpg" style="height:401px; width:709px" /></a></p><p><a href="http://s134.photobucket.com/user/ulrblitzer/media/Cars/20150821_124723.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img alt="" src="http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q107/ulrblitzer/Cars/20150821_124723.jpg" style="height:728px; width:715px" /></a></p><p><a href="http://s134.photobucket.com/user/ulrblitzer/media/Cars/FB_IMG_1440185207567.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img alt="" src="http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q107/ulrblitzer/Cars/FB_IMG_1440185207567.jpg" style="height:400px; width:710px" /></a></p><p>&nbsp;</p>

</p><p>I got it at Napa. There should be a &quot;big&quot; Napa in the bigger towns that do automotive paint. The small Napa's around my house don't have the gear to do it. $30.00 originally for the rattle can .. but there's always $10 off coupons in the mail/online to find, so $20.00. The paint guy told there were 3 different variations of NH31P. Took the paint stick out and tried to find the closest match.</p><p>You can order online from 2009 Acura Tsx Colors of Touch Up Paint too but gotta pay for shipping.</p>

<p>All done. Learned a few things if I were to do it again next time (dis-assemble everything, less is more when it comes to layering, wet sand clear coat more)</p><p>400 grit wet sand</p><p>4 coats primer</p><p>400 grit wet sand again, ISP wipe down</p><p>Heat gun to dry up any moisture</p><p>4 coats base, let it dry overnight</p><p>3 coats clear</p><p>2000 grit wet sand (should have done this more. This is your chance to smooth out the &quot;spray&quot; and orange peel.</p><p>Buffed with M105 and M205</p><p>Turned out pretty well considering the short cuts I took, and with this being my first time.</p><p><a href="http://s134.photobucket.com/user/ulrblitzer/media/Cars/IMG_20150823_174656.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img alt="" src="http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q107/ulrblitzer/Cars/IMG_20150823_174656.jpg" style="height:665px; width:665px" /></a></p>
