MTEC shifter springs for 6MT
I was on the 9th gen civic forums and found this product
MTEC Industries Online Shop | MTEC Industries
Its supposed to remove the play for the k20/k24 manual shifter. They also have a pivot ball upgrade.
Any 6MT CU2s with these products installed? Sound like a good upgrade since its not expensive and the 9th gen guys seem to be loving it.

Yeah I do, I also have the hybrid racing shifter bushings and weighted shift knob. I plan on doing the mtec springs, clutch delay valve bypass and steel braided clutch lines in the spring.
Maybe the search feature isn't working but I can't find any threads about anyone installing steel braided clutch lines either, or maybe it's such a common upgrade that no one bothers to start a thread on it

It's not common, you'll be the first to do both braided lines and new springs.

Wow, hard to believe. I'm sure someone has done it but never posted about it. Either way, I'm going to do it. I'm a fan of the crisp and precise shifting experience.

Acura owners are less likely to modify their vehicles.. especially mechanical things I have found. It was a PIA just to install the CTE short shifter!

I was like that in the beginning when my car was brand new but now I'm all for any modifications that will improve the drivability of my car. Quality and function is what I'm after.

You will love the feel of the clutch. Night and day. Best mod I did so far on this car.
This is too funny I cracked up pretty hard. Follow the guinea pig. still laughing.
FWIW coming from an S2K the pivot ball upgrade makes sense. It is a common part that is replaced when you get the short throw Spoon shifter in the S. They use a copper based pivot ball since they say the plastic one fails over time.

Update
Assembly removed.
New mtec sport springs installed.
Ready for install.
Clutch delay valve removed.
Stainless steel clutch line installed.
First impressions after a 15 minute drive was a good one. Feels more direct and clutch engagement is more predictable. Feels a lot like my 00 civics shift linkage bars.
This is also with solid shifter cable bushings, short shifter and weighted shift knob. All this makes for a very enjoyable and precising gear changing experience.
