coming up on 108K.

but what does that video have to do with the thread topic? you finally create a seemingly normal thread and then you ruin it by derailing it yourself

is it really a problem with the tranmission or is it the drivers raggin on it? i figured if you use ss then that would damage it more?

115k. and ss does not damage the transmission by itself. it's often assoc with transmission failure because people usually use ss to beat the crap out of the car.

but then again my tranny actually probably lasted longer, because i was using SS, and for the most part it never went into 5th (which was worn out basically when i took it apart)

so soria got the most miles outta of soo far. winner should get a free acuzine sticker. still havent seen any. i sure theres a section for that tho. i wish they would of made it a dohc instead of a sohc probably would of sounded better and put down more power.

sounded better, not really probably would have been same cam specs, as now, so the same power as now (but they might have been able to raise redline some due to a lighter valvetrain, so maybe increased power)

BUT

it would have more then likely have accelerated the aftermarket support that we are just getting now, because in most people eye's DOHC means more power (not completly true, but yes easier to achieve max power though, through aftermarket tuning, due to being able to play with valve overlap and such [compared to a SOHC, where you need a new/different cam, compared to just loosening some bolts up])

Sounds Illogical tough, Have never anyone thinked about swaping the NSX Heads into the J32. To make it a DOHC?

IF by anything just for the sake of doing it, There must be better AND cheaper ways to make the J32 Powerful but it would be Nice to see something like that happening. Just like the J Swaps for Integras and Civics it isnt the smartest choice but its kinda Unique.

completely different motor first of all, so maybe possible, but might be easier to just machine your own heads then

and powerful SOHC's are possible, look at the Corvette, it only has one cam for both banks, and still uses push rods (it a matter of optimizing cam profiles, before you actually grind the cam)

How about $$$$, It would be cheaper to Make our Own DOHC Heads than finding a way to addapt the C32 Heads into our J32 Block? I Mean someone already put the Jackson Racing S/C into our J32, Nothing seems Impossible after seeing that monster...

It would be amazing to see something like that happening.

It'd be amazing but freaking complicated... designing and engineering a brand-new head, and that's before you get to the electronic stuff... how would you incorporate VTEC?

221k. ya i guess we tend to see that the newer models are affected by the recall? i guess its probably how you take care of it really when it comes down to it. driving conditions and stuff im sure is a factor. as for that i was told pretty much all j series stuff is interchangeable just like B series stuff but im guessing it just depends. if you can bolt on a 6 speed tranmission from the newer models onto a j32a2 then why cant we swap the heads??? also i seen I-vtec Swaps being put into accords anything a accord can get a tl can get i figure! would be sick to have a k series turbo Tl- type s
