Radiator - top rubber cushion question

2003 TL - A couple of years ago, an independent shop installed a new radiator (unfortunately, a new tranny also). Recently, I have just come to notice the top bushings/cushions are not snug to my radiator's top posts. Is this normal?

I believe these pictures pretty well explain what I'm trying to ask.

Mine has been like that from day one. Doesn't seem to rattle. I always figured Honda did it to allow for expansion of the radiator and or ease of assembly.

Is that carpet I see under your car?

Okay then. Just thought it was weird to have so much play. My other Japanese rigs aren't like this.

Smarter minds than mine obviously have designed it this way.

Thanks.

Wink

Is that carpet I see under your car?
Nah, just a throw rug on the garage floor. My door isn't wide enough for me to drive into my living room..

That is on purpose to allow some movement of the radiator.
