How do I replace the drivers side headlight?

I can't really figure out how to replace the drivers side headlight. It's being blocked by some sort of plastic vent that doesn't look removable.

Do I have to remove the whole headlight assembly or is there an easier way?

Does anyone have any tips for doing this? Thanks.

You will HAVE to take out the reservoir overfill bottle in order to get to the headlight.

But there's this big black tube thingy blocking the entire face of the headlight cover. That seems to be in the way more than the bottle... unless they are related.

You shouldnt have to remove the intake piping but to make it easier you can. Other than that there isnt any thing that needs to be removed.

It's the drivers side, we've already done the passinger side. It looks like intake piping but we have no idea how to remove it, can't see any method of removing it. That's why we're asking if we need to remove the whole headlight assembly.

To clarify, it's the drivers side xenon hid bulb I'm trying to replace... not the whole assembly either, but I was wondering if I needed to take the whole assembly out just to change the bulb.

I checked around and couldn't find much info on replacing the drivers side. Found info for passengers side and got that done.

I already put the long plastic cover back together so I can't take a picture of the actual piece I'm talking about... but here's a pic anyways.

So does anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm gonna open it up and work on it again today... I'll be able to get a picture of whats actually blocking it.

For Non-Type-S owners, there is an annoying plastic piece blocking the headlight that just requires brute force to remove.

Forgot about the horn. Yes just yank up on that. Many of us dont have that as we have removed our resonators (that part and the box below it)

That's the snorkel on the resonator, I've always found it easier to replace bulbs and ballast with the headlight off, which requires the removal of the bumper.

It may seem hard but its actually only a couple of clips and 2 screws in each wheel well, only takes me a couple minutes to remove mine.

The 3-5 min it takes to take just the bumper off you could have replaced both bulbs
