Cruise control
I have a 2003 Acura TL. I noticed my cruise control isn't working. When I press the button it glows green and the green cruise comes on the dash but when I goto hit set it doesn't work.any ideas on what I can do to fix the problem? Also for some reason my reverse lights stay on all the time and the pass mirror doesn't go down when in reverse. Any help would be greatly appricated. Thank you

Ok first problem might be related to the Cruise Control butterfly system in the Throttle Body, A lot of Aziners have pointed out that the plastic side of the Cruise line breaks and makes the Cruise system useless.. Your options are to replace the entire Throttle Body or to try and repair the broken part.
Your second problem sounds a lot like a transmission range switch problem.. Are there any Check Engine lights?

Reverse lamps
Another possibility is that the reverse lamps being on is disabling the cruise control.
Assuming the reverse lamps are on when the ignition key is in the #2 position, car on - engine not running. Try the following to diagnose the reverse lamps...
1. Ignition off. Unplug the trans range switch.
2. Ignition on #2 position - engine not running. If reverse lamps are off now then the Range Switch is defective... Replace.
3. If reverse lamps are still on in the #2 test above then probably the reverse relay is defective.
4. Testing reverse relay. Restore #2 test above to original state. Then unplug reverse relay at driver's fuse/relay box and turn on ignition to #2 position- engine not running. If reverse lamps are off now then the relay is defective... Replace. If lamps are still on then you have a short after the relay to the lamps.

Yes my horn is working, I will check about the trans range switch tomorrow. Where is it located? I also had problem with my abs and
tcs lights being on but fixed it or temporally did. The fuse was broke. Check engine light and both tcs and abs lights turned off after new fuse.now I saw under the cover that this metal wire of the cruise looks like it was disconnected. I'll post a pic of what I found. Should that wire be connected To the black rotating thing in pic? Thanks

Yes that should be attached but that's not a wire just a cable. Unscrew the Philips scew (rt/upper-just above the cable) and reattach the cable. You should be careful because someone might of detached the cable for a safety reasons.

Thanks for the reply. I had my tranny rebuilt like a year ago. Would there be any reason to disconnect this when rebuilding tranny? Also is the trains range switch behind the driver front tire?? Thank you
