03 acura tl, 3.2. code p0705. cleaned oil jets. bought new solenoid but i have't changed it yet. 240,000 miles with original trans. just reset codes today, before that it had a really hard time shifting to third gear. fluid is not burnt and is still red. no slippage what so ever. a little late shifting from 2 to 3 gear after code reset, but i think if i put the new solenoid in and clean the jets again, it will shift properly. i want to do a 3x3 fluid change and i'm looking for some feedback.(positive and negative)there are two filters on this trans if i'm correct(correct me if i'm wrong) and i want to change those after the 3x3 and again 1000 miles after. also calling to see if trans is still under warranty. my question is"how can i test the range sensor?" does anyone know what the vom readings should be. also, what type fluid to use in original trans? ASE certified but i'm not too familiar with honda and everything i've read suggests these trans are very sensitive and i don't want to grenade this tranny by doing something wrong. Lots of intelligent folks on here and any and all information will be considered and greatly appreciated.

First thing to check is if all shift positions are lighting up on the dash, P R N D4 D3 2 1
If they all light up then its an intermittent problem.
If one position does not light up then the range sensor is out of adjustment.
Also check the connector for the range sensor located by the fill bolt make sure its fully connected and not damaged like broken wires or corrosion.

I noticed you said:

P R N D4 D3 2 1
Doesn't the D5 light up? (I thought it does) Mine doesn't, and I've been thinking the bulb's gone out, and I need to either switch it with 1 or get a new one.

so i was mistaken about the oil jets. apparently, the oil jet is a kit that is installed by the dealer. The part I cleaned was the screens inside the shift solenoids and the transmission seemed to shift alot better until recently. then it started shifting late into third gear. I then cleared the codes and it started shifting better again for a while. Now its back to shifting like it was before. I'm not sure if this is the proper place to ask this question. If I'm out of line and posting in the wrong place, please direct me to the proper thread to get my questions answered. Thanks in advance for any help i can get.
