I would discourage you from just replacing the logo. The whole center piece cover of the steering wheel is supposed to break apart when the airbag deploys. Putting a different logo on it may cause the breakaway mechanism to fail. It's not worth the risk!

Can we stick on one of those aftermarket Acura "A" trunk logos on the steering wheel hub? How is the size difference from the 2002 emblems?
No, I don't care if the airbag deploys and this thing smacks me in the face. :p

There's some things just not worth getting. Like sticking a hard metal emblem on a wheel not meant to have it, with a high velocity air bag that could deploy. Actually, why don't u just buy a nice emblem and stick it on the passenger side dash?? Or what about on the rear of the console where that little "ashtray" lid, stick it on there...

Is everyone sure the airbag cover breaks? I thought it just snaps backwards like a hinged door? I've seen many cars whose airbags looked that way when deployed.
I'm gonna set mine off then fold it up and put it back to see how it opens.:o

I don't think the whole plastic thing is going be BRAEAK, it's just pop open... The only think is thought... if you don't stick it properly, then hohoho....

I took my airbag out when I did my steering wheel and I never bothered to check that. Yes, I followed all the safety precautions and worked from the side in case of an accidental set off. Too bad I didn't look closer at the airbag.

The airbag should rip the front cover in 3 places so the airbag to come out, actually more like explode out When the airbag in my Vigor deployed the cover ripped, peeled back, and tore up my forearm in the process (lesson I learned is to keep your hands away from the center of the wheel If you could FIRMLY attach that aftermarket emblem to the cover it should be clear of any of the rips that open up in the cover when the airbag deploys, I'm not sure its worth the risk of it exploding into your face though
