Rear window malady here too. Solution was the 5 second up/down described in response by "getakey" member. THANK YOU!
Note: Had battery replacement months ago, but hadn't tried rear windows (Winter).
Saved a 50 mi RT to dealer, probably $.

you can reset the windows yourself. press and hold the button to put the window the whole way down then hold for 5 seconds after the window is down. let go of the button. press and hold the button to put the window the whole way up then hold for 5 seconds after the window is up. your windows should now be reset and can be controled from the drivers window controls. I had to perform it just tonight to be able to control the passenger windows from my drivers door controls

Search "window reset". Something about holding the button down for 5 seconds after it goes all the way down, and then 5 secs after it goes all the way up will reset it. Other than that, there is a service manual in the garage with a Power Windows.pdf that could help you troubleshoot.

you just need to do a reset. happen before
To reset the EACH problem window, do these steps from the individual window control, NOT the driver's master control panel:
Press and hold the button to roll each problem window all the way down, then hold for 5 seconds after the window is down. Let go of the button. Press and hold the button to put the window the whole way up then hold for 5 seconds after the window is up. your windows should now be reset and can be controlled from the drivers window controls.

Maybe an unambiguous statement is necessary to help diagnose the alluded issue?

Three Wheelin'
If the rear switch can still open and close the window, but not the main switch, it means the driver's main switch is bad due to snow falling on it and killing it.

Auto down stopped working
Well...I've only had my car for about 2 months and I've already encountered a problem. My auto down seems to have stopped working. Any idea what could be causing this? I'm guessing I will have to take it to Acura but I just wanted to get some input.

Power window issue
Hey guys ,
I recently noticed my rear power windows were not working from my drivers switch but when push the actual button on the rear doors it works, i thought it was a window lock issue until today when my passenger window switch also stopped working!. Now only my drivers window works out of the 4 switches on the drivers control , anyone else experienced this issue?

I had the same problem. What this fix is for is if you have a window that will not roll down with the drivers master window control but it will roll down with the single control at that door. You need to roll that window down and up in this sequence and then the master control will work. If you have a window that won't roll down with any of the switches you have another problem.

I apparently fixed it when I went to investigate why I could not roll down the passenger window but the passenger could. At first I thought it was a short. So I rolled it down ... then rolled it back up - then it worked again! Now I see why. LOL!

Power windows help
So my windows been working fine until one day I go to open passenger windows with the driver controls and they don't respond, if I reach over to each individual window and push down, they will open. I check fuse box and all the related fuses and they are fine. Just wondering if anyone ran into this problem before and of there is some trick to get this working or some fuses that I don't know about...thanks

Yes this is a common issue and easy to fix. I believe you need to make the window go all the way down and hold for 10 seconds, then all the way up and hold for 10 more. Something like that anyways. You can search for "Window reset" if you don't want to rely on my shoddy memory.

EDIT: Reading back over this, I don't think all of these steps are necessary. IanVS is right. First try this:
1) Hold window button down until 5 seconds after the window is all the way down.
2) Hold window button up until 5 seconds after the window is all the way up.

You guys nailed it! I had tint installed for the driver and passenger front windows and the company must have run the battery all the way down during the process. When I picked up my 2008 MDX, I had to reset many of the program features.
The big problem was the passenger window wouldn't roll down from the driver position. I had no clue how to fix the problem and didn't want to deal with another auto shop or dealership. Enter AcuraZine... The knowledge of this site has made my MDX purchase much easier. I simply followed the instructions of fellow members (hold window button down for 5 seconds down and and up) and BOOM! fixed.
Thanks for the help guys.
Now if we could only find someone to start making the front lower aluminum trim for the 2007+ MDXs again.
