OBD Bluetooth Adapter

Has anyone used one of these with apps such as torque pro or something related?

Curious how well/accurate they are.

been using for several years now.
rarely use torque as only real benefit is to clear CEL.
mostly use DASH to keep my driving habit/distance/trip.

I use it. Works great for Android but the Torque app is sorta limited.

Torque limited? It looks to have quite a bit of features from reading the description/looking at screenshots.

  • View live OBD engine data on your Android phone - Connect to your vehicle ECU
  • Fully customisable dashboard screens - Design your own layouts and custom dials, use your own themes
  • Retrieve Fault Codes (DTCs) and clear Check Engine lights - View fault descriptions using the built-in databases
  • Upload live OBD2 data to your webserver or the torque web viewer in realtime
  • Check the performance of your vehicle with BHP / Torque / 0-60 & Quarter Mile widgets
  • MPG
  • Coolant temp
  • Fuel flow
  • RPM
  • etc

The way it's all displayed is primitive to me. I'm used tomorrow out of my software. For an app it's not I suppose.

I've used Garmin's EcoRoute. It's the same thing.

Very cool little device. I was able to read anything the car monitors, see CELs, clear CELs, monitor fuel economy, see how many Gs I could pull through a corner, you name it. The only downside is that the app only works for Android phones, so if you have an iPhone, you're out of luck.

To add: it was extremely accurate with everything it read, so far as I could tell.

Torque Pro is extremely powerful and displays a lot of information, depending if your car is capable of displaying it. However, the UI is a little dated. It does work with those cheap $15 Chinese OBDII readers you find on Amazon.
