any idea what happened?

Driving around 70mph on freeway today the following happened:

I first noticed my nav screen and radio were flickering on and off for a few minutes.

Then all of a sudden my whole console seemed to get darker and I thought for a minute I lost all battery power....

Then all my lights on the dash came on including the one that said CMBS OFF PLEASE CHECK...

I drove the few more minutes to my destination and restarted the car.

I had to re-enter my NAV code again.

Besides that everything seems normal again.

What do you think possibly happened?

FYI I did have to replace my battery a few days ago.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

cable to battery terminals are not tight....a jarring ride caused the cable and terminal to lose contact, briefly.

simply tighten cables to battery terminals, both positive and negative.

^+1, and also check for corrosion on the battery terminals. It seems simple and straight forward but it is often overlooked. If that doesn't work, you might want to check your new battery to see if it's defective, depending on the brand and quality control, there are lemons in new batteries.

These seem like perfect answers on here. I'm surprised to see how much stuff will go crazy when the battery is going bad on these cars. It's like the car is trying to tell you something before it completely dies.

When I first bought the car, I had flickering issues, weird starts, and door lock & window problems. Turns out, the ground wire was loose. Battery was still fine (per Acura's service department) and I haven't had an issue since.

I had a very similar thing happen in Legend #1, and it turned out to be a loose negative terminal connection. I agree with the others here.

I'm going to mirror what everyone else said...check your battery terminals.

I recently had trouble starting my car so I decided what the hell I'll just get a new battery since my battery was 3 years old. Went to the Acura dealer got 25% off the OEM battery and I was good.

Fast forward to a few days later I started noticing my DRL lights were on as soon as I started my car. Then I get the VSA and battery light icon on my dash. At first thought, probably new battery was defective. Turned out it was my error for not fully tightening the ground.
All is good now.

issue still happening

I replaced the battery a couple of weeks ago but the same issue reared it's head today.

At this point would you recommend taking it to the ACURA Dealership, HONDA Dealership, or my local mechanic?

Thanks in advance for feedback.

Did you check that the alternator is putting out a proper charging voltage (14V plus)?

We are aware you replaced the battery as you stated in your original post. Our suggestion was to tighten the battery cables. There should be no play in the cable on the terminal if you yank on it. If there is and you can't tighten anymore, you can temporarily put a steel nail or screw between the cable and terminal to force a tighter contact.

If it's the Red Top, they moved production to Mexico, and the results supposedly show.

I would just go get a OEM battery from the dealer.

I've done plenty of work in regards to electrical on a whole whack of vehicles and I've never seen one so sensitive about the battery as the RL. I've read a lot of stories from people on here that tried other batteries and it didn't work out as they typically do. I actually started having some issues with the electrical in my car and didn't even bother trying to diagnose it, went and got a new battery from the dealer and all my problems went away; even the auto door opener on my passenger side which I thought wasn't working due to a poor seal haha.

Check the cables, but check both ends of the cables. On the 3G TL there were a couple of reports were the ground cable had worked its way loose but not at the battery.
