Check your battery cables both at the terminal and the other end. A loose connection could cause issues. You shouldn't be able to budge any of the 4 points.

I found the negative cable loose, and thought that was the problem, so I bought some shims and tightened everything down. Didnt fix it. Curious thought, the fuse block cover has a sticker on it, "auto meter" components, and the red flip cover on the positive side of the battery has a cutout on it? I'm guessing amplifier, but the previous owner was a doctor of Indian descent (not your typical audio customer?)

Alternator, starter cables look good, can't quite see where negative goes (tight spacing).

The positive terminal came from the factory with a fuse box containing 1 50A fuse to power the cooling and condensing fans. If the fuse is there (and God, I hope it is), all is okay there.

If the loose negative cable wasn't the fix, I'm out of ideas.

I had this check charging system light it used to go on during high rpm or heavy loads like wen I stepped on it. The check charging system light would also go on if I drove with the A/C off. But a couple times light flashed wen driving normal. So I bought a reman. Denso alternator, gates tensioner ,and gates belt. Replaced parts my self and I have NO Check charging system warnings flashing under heavy acceleration or with A/C off.

My car had a aftermarket tensioner already installed as well as a cheap Car quest alternator ,belt looked factory & real worn. Could have been any of the parts so I replaced them all at once and my problem is fixed

I bought my RL with a bad neg cable it would flash check charging system so I replaced neg cable. Fixed for a while but I started my car once and all the lights inside and out started flickering. Stopped and checked battery cables and both +&- were completely lose. Tightened them up and months later check charging system light came on while in freeway driving to coast from valley 75 so I stopped and neg cable was able to twist on terminal. Pushed it down and it fixed warning light all the way home but if I drove with A/C off it would say check charging system. New battery still did it, so I replaced alternator with a reman Denso, gates tensioner and gates belt I have no intermittent check charging system light under any condition I mentioned above
