Daaaaaaaamn is that full leather seat soft and comfy. The Alcantara headliner is awesome. Valencia Red looks better in real life than in pics! All it needs is a manual transmission and I'd be happy. This particular car also has the carbon fiber pieces and interior, and MSRP is $203k. Motorcars Acura, however, is silling it for $249k including market adjustment.
It feels really luxurious inside, at least as good as the Lambos I've sat in.
This car has the aniline full leather seats. The leather is soft and the seat is REALLY comfortable, soft but supportive.
The Alcantara headliner is as soft as a baby's butt.
I prefer ebony interiors and so the dark inside is fine with me. The switchgear is exactly like my RLX Sport Hybrid, and that itself is a cut above more plebeian Acuras, and below a Merc E-Class.
Push button transmission is very close to my Sport Hybrid.
Navi screen is better than what I've got, but still not as good as in an Audi.
Is it $200k good? That's in the eye of the beholder. I think the sum of the car's parts make it worth $200k. However.....my preferred spec is only $182k--blue, full leather power seats, no carbon fiber, ELS with XM stereo.
I can afford it if I sell my current NSX ($60k), my CTS-V wagon ($50k), wait until my Sport Hybrid lease is up in 11 months, and take out a five-year loan on the remainder at that price. If I do this insane thing, I'd have to order it in May-June for it to come in by the time the RLX lease is done.
The thing is, I don't want to get rid of my CTS-V wagon. It's one of maybe 600 6MT V wagons extant, and honestly, with a NSX 2.0, I'd just daily drive the V again instead of buying another car.....unless someone offered me an insane deal.
Then I'd just daily drive the NSX. It's got AWD, after all.
Am I completely insane for actually figuring out how to afford this? I've got a long time to decide. A guy can dream....
Do it! Only 63k from getting your dream car... you only live once.. haha j/k I really don't see how I could drive a $175k car in NW Ohio winters though. Every time I take it out(in winter) I'd feel the need to get a car wash, under body spray package etc. And then I wouldn't want to even take it to a normal car wash because it might be too harsh on it... I bought my 2010 TSX from Motorcars a few years ago, I might have to take a trip up there. Although they probably have to verify my net worth to get past the chains just to sit in it... I'll bring paperwork haha
I can understand the allure of wanting one... but you're taking for granted and selling off a stable of cars that >99% of the population would kill for.
If anything, wait a few years and buy used. Then get rid of the RLX (I know it's special, but hold on here). Daily the CTS-V, have a 1G NSX and a 2G NSX- both, for fun
All the two NSXs really share are the name. They're both cool cars, but for very very different reasons. If you could swing that, after saving up for a few years, shiiiiet....
Just openly dreaming after officially meeting the production version of the NSX. I'm not really splitting up my current dream garage anytime soon, and realistically, when the RLX lease is up, I'm going to lease something less expensive. Real life priorities....
OTOH, if Acura does something nuts and releases a real sports car at a more attainable price.....I'd look at it. Since that isn't going to happen, I don't have to worry about it.

Question...how would someone 6'6+ fit? I have a 38" inseam, so there needs to be plenty of leg room. I fit fine in my '13 ZDX, and because I work at an auto auction I have been able to sit in many super cars, and so far the results are disappointing
McLaren MP4/12C no to driver side, barely in the passenger side.
Ford GT40 Leg room fine, no head room
Ferrari California No problem, and INSANE acceleration!
Nissan GTR a little tight but doable
Lumpulus, I'm 5'10" with a 36" inseam, so not far off yours. There's plenty of room for my legs, as always in Honda products. I don't have headroom problems, being 5'10". There's several inches over my head.
Dealer called me today as they have another allocation for an NSX to fill, to be delivered sometime next year, at MSRP, and with whatever spec I want. My RLX lease is a significant impediment as I've still got 11 payments to go. They are looking at what they can do for the RLX lease, which is likely not much--Acura's not gonna eat 11 payments even to put someone in a NSX.
REALLY tempted (which is the salesman's job, to keep me tempted), but no bueno yet.

^^ At MSRP, I would do it. I would be so insulted at paying above MSRP, I mean seriously, the car is already way too expensive at MSRP but then to have the balls to slap an extra 20k premium because what, just because....That would annoy me beyond belief!

IMHO, the CF parts will eventually be available for less, by parts sellers, no matter how much Acura constrains the supply. Some of the parts, I'm sure, can be added/replaced. If I buy in the future (won't be anytime soon, have other financial priorities), I'll try to buy smart.

But back on NSX topic... I was looking through the playbooks posted in a previous thread and noticed that Acura has spec'd winter tires for the NSX (Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3). Which to Bob's point earlier, means it's meant for year round driving... *That* I would love to see.

Doesn't surprise me entirely, although I would personally never drive it in the winter... I know a guy who had a '14 Stingray that drove it to Cleveland and back on all seasons in a snow storm so it is possible

I highly doubt this. If Honda has a strangle hold on these parts, they're only going to go up in value. How else will you get them, unless you find a wrecked NSX or someone parting the pieces out?
Otherwise there might be aftermarket options, but they won't be the same quality, and obviously, will be much cheaper.
However, all that being said, I had a chance to check out two NSXs up close in the past two months or so. Both were loaded up with the carbon upgrades. Before seeing the car, I was always of the opinion I would *need* absolutely every piece. But after seeing them in person... I barely even noticed them. I felt the body kit was barely noticeable, as well as the engine bay, steering wheel (even though I was holding the dang thing!) and whatever else. The matte finish on the CF just made it blend in, rather than pop.
However, the roof did have the glossy CF finish- that would likely be the only piece I'd get. Maybe the spoiler too, but nothing else besides that. That being said, I'd be more than happy to buy a base nsx and maybe add just one or two pieces. I mean, if money was no object, yeah, I'd buy all of it just because I can. But being more "real world", I'd be quite happy with just the car and a piece or two on top. I could easily save 35k
