Looks like you still have the old coil connectors. If you haven't sourced connectors for the new coils yet, this place has them:
Motorcycle HX .040 - .090 Connector and Terminals
You need the Sumitomo 3 pin HVG .040 Female Connector with Top Rib (Female HV040-3 Tr).

The intake is the work and design of Matt Hickam (aka Hickam Series Fabrication) in Ft Worth, Texas. He's also the one who fabbed the turbo and exhaust setup for the Accord.

The hood barely closed before with the stock manifold. I'll be hacking up the hood soon. Function over form on this build.

UPDATE

So I went ahead and ordered some factory cats for the initial engine break in phase but will switch back to the turbo manifolds once that's done and also after I have Matt modify the flanges to the j37a4 style. I will be using a stock j37 j-pipe in addition to the cats. Ordered brand new AF sensors front and rear for accurate readings to the ECM for tuning accuracy. Also, had an aluminum adapter plate fabricated and then drilled to align with the mounting holes of a j37a4 throttle body. Still need to order a power steering pump and ignition coils but I'll begin the install as soon as my lift is freed up. Ironically I've got an 08 Type S at the shop on the lift that needed a new engine cradle so I get to basically do this job two times in a row! Yeah!!!

Cats came in today. I got a sweet ass deal on these babies: out of a 2014 Odyssey w/sensors shipped from Cali for $200. And they only have 1200 miles on them. Waiting on the j37 j-pipe now...

Not much progress here lately because shops been busy and the lift has been taken up. Got the cats installed with new gaskets and hardware only to find that the AN fitting on the pan for the turbo oil return was blocked by the front cat but then realized it wouldn't be needed while the cats are installed. Lmfao...

Also, I don't think I ever posted up pics of the transmission after it was coated in truck bed liner. Turned out awesome and LOVE the look.

Cowl hood is my plan. But yes, it will probably be driven hoodless for the first few weeks. I'm going to try and take some clearance measurements once the engine is in to see what I have to work with.

Stock brakes currently but have the brackets and calipers/rotors for the RL swap on standby.

Ok, so I was granted some time today by the wife to work on the car at the shop and got quite a bit of work done today.

As you can see, the engine/trans has been bolted to the cradle. Though time was of the essence, I took my time and payed attention to detail and torque marked all appropriate fasteners. I still need to replace all six of the ignition coil connectors (which I already have) but did manage to find the correct coils in the shop of which are about 1/2" longer in length than previous generation j-series. I'm also waiting on my stock j-pipe as well but shouldn't be much longer before that arrives. Realized today that I'm going to need another EGR block off plate for the front cat because there's a tube that's been removed that routes exhaust gases after the cat then back up to the EGR valve for the newer engines. And speaking of cats, the rear converter was literally 1mm away from not fitting between the subframe and the jack shaft but was relieved to see it squeezed in nicely.

Other than that, it's just a matter of reassembly. I would like to have at least a first start by the end of the week if possible but we will see....maybe even sooner. I'll keep everyone posted with pics as progress is made.

Took 20 minutes out from the busy ass shop today and made a nifty two-piece heat shield for the rear converter. Anyone who has been keeping up with this thread will know that I'm very big into heat management and controlling it. Originally, I was going to add a heat shield over the entire firewall area but I didn't have one solid piece that would cover the area so decided on this approach instead. This shield will be secured using steel wire and its tight fit around the converter shouldn't allow rattling. I'll make another for the front and be done with heat management since I won't have any turbo piping to worry about. After the front one, I'll be lowering the car back onto the subframe and wrapping things up from there.

Here's some pics of the shield. Its a rough stage as of now but I'll be contouring its shape a bit more before securing it in place.

My buddy jokingly said in response to my heat shield that I should wrap a large insulating bag over the engine once the turbo setup goes back in...LMAO. Actually not a bad idea.

Lol, maybe...it's actually a piece out of my old transmission jack that took a shit.

I prefer to improvise if I can. Such as this EGR port on the front cat that needed a block off plate which I couldn't find available for purchase. So I ended up cutting off the flange on the tube and then welded a 5/8" slug into it to seal it up.

I love the ingenuity (trans mount & EGR block off)!! Do you get much vibration with the solid trans mount? If I tear another set of trans mounts, looks like that's the way to go.

Even when boosted at 15lbs, the car drove amazingly smooth in regards NVH and that's with three of the five mounts solid. The only dampening mounts I run are the front and rear engine mounts.

Got my EGR block off plate and my 3.7 j-pipe. Installed the block off plate but before I install the j-pipe I'm going to (you guessed it) wrap it in DEI Titanium. Also, because its a factory pipe I'll have to weld a v-band flange on it so that it will connect to my current exhaust system. Hopefully everything else lines up correctly cause I'm REALLY ready to get my ass in this car!

I also installed a AC compressor bracket from an 08 TLS (j35a8) so I can get some AC on this HOT BEAST!!! Yup, it will air conditioned because there's nothing worse than driving a car you enjoy but...can't enjoy it. Lol. This means that I'm going to have fun arranging all the heat exchangers up front. I'm counting six different coils in my head so may have to get very creative with things. Anyhow, here's the bracket after coating it with truck bed liner.

Ok, so I know everyone (including myself) is ready for this subframe to go in already but understand its SO much easier to take care of the details and tedious work with the engine conveniently positioned on the ground. I've got a small list remaining before the install takes place and the suspense is making me edgy. Haha!!

I busted a few more things out today:
- Ordered all the j-pipe and compressor fasteners from Acura

- Purchased the -6 AN 60 degree fittings for my fuel rail loop hose

- Went over the engine, trans and subframe once more with paint pen and rechecked fastener tightness/torque

- Painted the sheet metal intake using my recently new favorite truck bed liner coating...Love that shit.

- Purchased two rolls of DEI Titanium wrap and wrapped j-pipe...perfectly might I add.

- Began the process of extending the throttle body DBW and MAP sensor harnesses due to the increased height of new intake

- Stood beneath car for maybe 2-3 minutes for mental preparedness on the upcoming install and rebirth of the beast***

*** especially important!

More soon to come. Thanks for reading. Enjoy the pics:

^^^ Please note that the engine hasn't been completely installed so excuse the ugliness of the hoses, wiring and other misc BS.

Also as predicted, some modifications will need to be made for the j-pipe to be used. Roughly 5 inches will need to be removed and then the v-band flange welded on.

Here's a little better perspective to the challenge I have ahead of me on this intake. I have plans on contacting the person that created this problem for me to find a solution. You know who you are...with your PINK little car!

Haha, yeah, most of the wrap I've ever used becomes pretty brittle after a few intense heat cycles. I've honestly never seen the titanium wrap do this yet but really never paid attention TBH. That's a big reason why I began using the mendable sheet heat shield (oem style). Even if it is a major PITA for the initial installation, the stuff makes HUGE differences in heat reduction.

As for the Accord, I must wait on two AN fitting block off caps for the turbo oil supply/drain setup. I have a large -10 hole in my oil pan right now as well as a -3 hole in my oil filter housing. These two fittings will obviously need to be capped off before startup happens. It will give me time to get everything else together such as the cooling system hoses and related components. Also, I began changing all my vacuum lines to AN fittings a while back and need to finish that too. That basically just involves purchasing & installing a 3/8" NPT to -8 AN fitting for the intake so I can run the AN line over to a vacuum distribution block on the firewall...that's about it.

The rest is petty stuff like the exhaust, steering shaft linkage from the steering column, return P/S hose being connected, attaching power distribution cables to starter and from engine harness to fuse block, oil cooler & thermostat setup install, radiator cooling fans (new Mishimoto shroud & fans!), attachment of fuel lines, installing drive axles, reassembling suspension & steering components, finding a suitable tube for intake setup with filter, empty old fuel and add new, install new oil filter and add oil.....JESUS! Ok, so I have much to do while waiting for those little caps to show up.

Some major leaps and bounds made today! Installed my NPT to AN fitting on the rear of the intake (center of the pic). Haha

I went to install the passenger CV and realized my oil cooler lines from the filter relocation adapter were going to be too close to the axle so I must rethink the layout for that system. I will more than likely mount the oil filter housing and oil thermostat in the fender well behind the splash guard roughly 1.5 feet away from the engine. Moving these two components closer to the front of the car may even benefit the setup more as there will be less hose (reduced pressure drop) between the engine and oil filter. Just makes things more of a PITA because this means more custom oil lines with expensive ass BMR fittings...oh well.

Haven't been on here or made a post in awhile. You know I had to come check your thread out to see if you're still alive and kicking lol! I didn't read any of your recent posts, I just browsed through the pictures. I'm glad you're still at with your build!

I should have my cl back together soon. It's not going to be anything special just a swapped n/a 3.5 setup with all the same mods it had before I took it apart for the turbo build lol.

Wow man, I was just reading your thread the other day wondering about ya. Good to see you around again. Sucks you sold all your turbo stuff but I know you have another money pit you're probably throwing money into that will probably be even faster.

I think you're way past infatuation Everything looks great. The intake plenum reminds me of my z31 300zx days. There isn't much aftermarket for the CLs but there was practically none for the z31. Just about everything had to be custom made.
Somebody knows how to weld

Too many projects of the same nature can be a very BAD (as in expensive) thing. It also makes it difficult to finish even one of them! Lol

Be careful on that bike man, seriously.
