odyssey transmission swap p0730, p1739

I recently did the Honda odyssey transmission swap on my 01acura cl type s. Everything was working fine and i was enjoying the new life into my car. Until yesterday! The car now will not reverse unless i give it some gas. The usual CEL and TCS light came on. I went to pepboys to get the codes pulled and got p1739 pressure switch #3 as well p0730 incorrect gear ratio. I've done a few searches but came up with a few different answers. My biggest question is can i correct this inexpensively or am i looking at another tranny swap?

You might be best to also post in the 2nd gen TL section. Lots of swaps done there.

i would recommend replacing the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches as maintenance on the trans anyway (check TL side for DIY). hopefully that fixes your issue

Check or replace the switches. Did you swap yours over from your CL trans to the oddy trans?

Oh, and why did you choose the oddy trans. It is plagued with failures as well. The 06-07 V6 accord trans is the trans to go with. It is much more reliable

I heard the V6 accord tranny from 06-07 is the best. But I've also heard the Odyssey tranny from 2008 and later is the best, because Honda started using a "light truck" tranny in the later year Odysseys. But I'm guessing those later year Odyssey trannies don't work in our CLs?

Yes i swapped over the switches. Do you think a bad switch would cause funky revving and gear changing? Because if that would solve my problem i would go take care of it tomorrow as well as doing my drain and refill earlier than 1000 miles on the swap i changed the fluid during the install BUT i was told they used the AutoZone transmission fluid. Think that has something to do with it? But i chose the odyssey trans because it was a little cheaper.

Most cars that have incorrect gear ratio codes have either a bad input or output speed sensor or internal slippage.
