Injen CAI filters
I'll bet I'm late to the party with this one, but does anyone here know if Injen discontinued their red + black oiled filters? I looked on their website and the only ones they have listed are the black + blue, assumingly oilless filters.
Does anyone have experience with the no-oil ones? How well do they work?

Well it's (I believe) 3", Injen part number 1014. I was wondering since typically when manufacturers discontinue certain parts in favor of "better" equipment, at least half the time people prefer the older sets.

I would just go with a K&N, AFE Power, Green Filter, etc.
I am running an oil less AFE filter with custom selected dimensions from their websites create a custom filter page. This is my first oil less filter and I am liking it so far.

So what would the maintenance be on an oil-less filter? Just toss it and buy a new one when it gets too dirty (I've heard they can go to 100k...) or do you still clean it?

Alright, so I ended up getting another red+black one off a seller from Amazon. The filter seems good and all, however I measured the opening at 2 7/8" but it was supposed to be 3".... The old one (been on my car for a few years now...) measures out to 3". I got it to fit + clamp, but I had to jam it on there a bit to get it on. I'm not sure if I remember going through something similar with the first filter. Does anyone have any insight on this? Is this just a precaution to make sure it fits extra snug? Since the my old one measured to 3" I'm assuming the opening stretches a tiny bit once it's been on for a little while...

Did I get a cheap imitation Injen filter? It looks about the same, except it has the Injen logo + spider embossed on the urethane end. The one I took off my car just has the Injen logo. Does anyone know? It is the same part number (X-1014)

Yeah I think I got a little carried away. I was trying to research it a bit on Injen's website and I somehow found my way to their page on how to spot fake Injen parts. Had me spooked for a bit.
