Wiring... Bypass low beams to run high beams independently

Iv seen it done on a TL with the fog lights

Does anyone know how to bypass the low beams so one can have the high beams on without the low beams on?

And im not looking for a DRL kit, just want to bypass the lows to rock the highs independently but while still using the factory light stalk, no aftermarket switch install

From what im thinking and researched there should be wires under the steering wheel where you can tap the high beam feed to a power source.
Kick me your knowledge

Thanks

When you turn the high beams on, the lows go out. Highs are halogen lights. The lows are HIDs. That's how it is from the factory. No need to make modifications.

^No they don't they stay on and you get a mix of white and yellow light.

Personally the high beams do NOTHING for your viewing distance. in the 10 years I had the car, I never used the high beams.

Yeaa the lows stay on with the highs

I agree the highs dont do much besides add alittl variation in light stance. My intrest is in daily usage or dusk dawn applications, having the highs on (which i use a yellow bulb) and the fogs i feel would make a good look.

Its just a mater of tappng the high beam wire to a 12v power source so that when you pull the stalk for the high beams theres power avaliable.

Seems to make sense

Such as this with the fogs
