Now that we're all being safe and using hands-free calling/texting/gps, where is everyone mounting their phones? I'm looking on Amazon but dont want nothing too cheap. Also I'm not sure where to mount, I'm leaning more toward the windshield or one of the vents, or if I could rig something up with the sunglasses holder that would be cool but dont know how useful. Thanks
Probably wouldn't be safe to rig something up to the visor holder since glancing up there can impact your safety.
I have my gps holder rigged up to the central vent. I held it in place with a couple of zip ties. Been going strong for a couple years now no issues. Can't tell that it's held using zip ties either if you're careful when setting everything up. And for power I ran the cable from the center console arm rest (where the 2nd electrical socket is located), under the cup holder and ran it up the under-side of the center console up to the gps mount. Works great!
Thanks for the input guys but my new phone is too big to fit in slot above radio. I used to put it imagine the cup holder but I don't like looking down. Got this from Amazon, I can post the link later.
I got the one you will want. Do you have an iphone 6. Its a magnet that you put in your phone case and i stick the magnet in the vent on the riht closest to the wheel. Ill get pics tomorrow but it fits perfectly hprizontally
