It could be anything, since it was custom placed (poorly).

I apologize if it looks like I took the picture with my toaster, that's just the way it was uploaded. I'll try asking the previous owner if he knows anything about it.

thats the first thing i would do!

test it!!!!!!!!!!!

then maybe follow some wires to find out where it leads too.

Could be a shut off switch for an amp. I've done this a few times.

Yeah I know that one of the previous owners used to have a subwoofer hooked up at some point. Looks to me like someone pulled all the wires for it though so I'll take a look behind the switch and see if it's connected to anything. No trace of a sub anymore.

if no wires, means nothing hooked up..Which means useless switch.
