Found this from the 1st Gen RDX

Honda Dot3 brake fluid comparison
https://acurazine.com/forums/diy-faq.../#post14151537

HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED ANY PROBLEM USING A BRAKE FLUID OTHER THAN HONDA?
There are many threads on AcuraZine (AZ) concerning the use of various different brake fluids, in various Acura models (other than RDX). You should do a search and read some of them, if interested.

I have not seen any posts stating problems with using other than Honda Dot3, but I would be interested if someone has had such a problem, please post to this thread. Thanks.

No need for honda brake fluild. Just use the same type... dot 3 or 4. Whatever the owners manual recommend.

FYI: JUST CHECKED... USE DOT 3.

I wouldnt use that or mix the 2 unless you are doing a complete flush.

Can go wrong with OEM fluids. That's one thing I wouldn't mind spending extra for. Except oil of course. But that's just me and I'm sure you would be fine running another brand as long as it's compatible.

Ya that's the deal, one wonders if there are any compatability issues.

Ha well good ole me forgot to check the Amazon box. This was the second time they shipped, Ship #1 had rear rotors instead of fronts. So this second reorder i called Amazon so there would be no screw ups. Got a South American chick, i think she said Brazil. Previously i had always gotten Phillipines.

I failed to open it to make sure since i had previously spent 15 minutes on the phone with nice Brazillian Amazon chick just making absolutely sure two fronts were being shipped, i thought meh it's gotta be right. Plus the size and shape of the box sure seemed like two.
There was only one front rotor in the box.

So this brake job will be moved to a later date.....
