Ronjon Sport Design 2001-03 Acura CL Urethane Lip Kit GB

Ok, here we go...

We have been going back and forth getting the whole project organized with our suppliers and engineers and we got the info here. I worked very hard to get the price down for fellow CL owners, and I def need your support for steppign out on a limb with this short run vehicle which is over 3 years discontinued now.

2001-2003 Acura CL
-Front add on Urethane lip
-Rear add on Urethane lip
-Pair of Urethane Side Skirt add ons
-2 RJSD Emblems
-10" RJSD Vinyl decal

MSRP: $1090 for the whole kit
initial 25 kit limited production price: $950 for whole kit
We are only accepting $200 deposits right now to preorder.

The kits will be ready between Feb-March

Shipping will be $100 or less from UPS

There is no mesh or hardware, the kit installs just like the OEM TL add on kit does, with 3M tape and tapping screws which are not included, but any shop who does the install can provide as part of the installation cost. You can also get this material to mount from Home Depot.

I can promise you, as a current and lifelong owner of the Acura CL, that i will offer this kit in the highest quality styandard as possible, same as our popular TL kit. This kit will give your Acura CL the muscular full bodied look it really needs.

PS, I will be in SEMA until the 6th of Nov, so leave a message and I will return your calls.

Here are the pics:

i liked some of the earlier looks for that kit, i think it looks to much like the versus kit that ive had sitting in the basement for 2years now! I like it, but its just too close in looks to the versus kit.

he Versus kit is too busy and bulky, This RJSD kit is very smooth and looks liek the car could have came from the factory like this. It will have a nice full bodied look and be slightly closer to the ground. We didn't want to make the kit too complicated, yet we got alot accomplished with this simple design. it serves it's purpose. The beauty of this kit is in the subtle angles, which are nothing but class. Or else i wouldn't put it on my own car.

No painted option, its too hard to match from a distance. $1090 is the price for this 25 kit GB, once we are complete with this GB, the price will go back to $1090, if we continue and these all are sold.

20" rear, 19" front Devotion-1pF Forged lightweight wheels, check the sig for more info on that Wheel...

Here's a shot f the back. We might have to do the rear in 3 pieces, to accomodate the exhasut openings, and to make fitment better, but it will look like this:

Edit, look above one post...

Ron-

Looking at the rear, is it similar/exactly the same as how the 3rd gen TL A-spec rear looks? (I'm talking about that black/darker area between both exhausts)

Actually no, simialr, but not exactly the same.

I am going to try to make the rear gray strip across an atachment, to help with exhaust clearance. It will be as simple as possible, like a wide rectangle with a simple groove running the length of the rectangle.
The Acura CL has a very minimialist style. it's only right that we keeop the same style with the kit, so in 10 or 12 years, when the car is a classic, the kit can be considered tastefull. That is when a truly appropriate design really shines, after the trends die out.

BTW, looking good so far, got 4 deposits and a few phone calls. if we pass 25 kits before they are done, i will drop the price once again, but after this run, the price will go back to MSRP of $1090.

I don't think we will be doing just front lips, since the initial production run is so limited, but if you can find someone who just needs the rear and sides, then you can split it that way, we can even ship seperatly.

RonJon keep up the good work. Now everyone who has been clamoring for a lip kit can get one. BTW I saw your TL kit in the Honda Tuning. It was a very praiseworthy article for you and great marketing for your company.

You're the F%$#in man ron!!!!!!!!! That is the best looking body kit available for our rides, not too gaudy or crazy, it will make the cl look, as you said, classic. Do you think the exhaust holes will leave enough room for those of us with larger cans on our exhaust ( i have the greddy evo2)? Thanks for your dedication to us, now it's in our hands to get enough people, i'm down so check your email tonight!!!!!!!

Guys, this is def going to be good, already people are supporting it and for good reason, I will make sure it is perfect. the rear will be made to accomodate aftermarket exhaust, no interference. My car is the donor and I have some pretty big cans on there.

PM me to send in paypal, with the 3% or whatever it is now. Can't wait, i'm just as anxious to do this as youy guys.

Its not a big deal, these add on lips, but i do have a place in the Bronx who is very good at what they doo, they do alot of custom cars for actual car manufacturers and shows. saw their work and talked with the shop manager, very confident they can do a great job. Now I just got to lok for their number, think its in my car cupholder...

um the kit on his car in the pic is photoshopped. It hasn't been made yet, so you'd probably just be looking at a modified versus kit in person.

I am also wondering that about this kit ron.

Also, I'm concerned that I might have to get my muffler canisters lowered a bit. Right now, they are at just about perfect height with the stock rear bumper cut outs. Would I have to get the mufflers to sit lower?
