Hello, just bought a 2001 CL S-type recently(185k miles, running great) and would appreciate any advice on things I should check/keep an eye on. After much reading, I of course know of the trans issue and a few other things. Just cleaned out the EGR ports, they were very clogged w/carbon deposits. Also had water temp problem, changed out thermostat and temp sensor, so far, so good on that fix. Posted a pic in the problems and fixes sub-category showing a build-up of hard, yellowish deposits in the thermostat housing which are worrying me a bit. Maybe from not using the correct coolant? I'll stop there, before this gets too long, thanks in advance for any advice.

Just some added info: A/T, navigation, new motor mounts(why do these seem to be changed so often?), new rotors/pads, replaced wheels and tires(Continental DWS, liking these a lot). Only things that don't work: memory buttons for seat, passenger power lock (has to be pushed manually), outside temp reading not correct(don't really care), SRS light is on(will try the reset procedure soon).

Know what? There is such a massive amount of info here, I suppose I can find out anything I need, tho I may be reading for hours lol.. Sorry to waste the space.
Only thing I do need is to know what the build-up in my thermostat housing may be.
