Need help finding my old VIN#

So I'm in a position to buy another car and am looking at getting another CLS. I found a few for sale locally and two of them look like my old CLS.

I just went through 13 pages of posts on mine and Id swear I posted my VIN # when I had the tranny replaced.

Can anyone help me find an old post? I tried with my user name and several key words but no go.

Any help appreciated.

If you go through all your "Posts by 'username'" and can't find them then chances are you didn't post it.

Call your insurance agent or look it up on your carrier's site.
Do you have a copy of the title?
Do you have any old service records from a dealer or somewhere that recorded the VIN on your receipt?
Maybe run a Carfax on the two candidates to see if anything looks familiar??

I did a few searches and couldn't find it. But you bought your car on ebay didn't you?

Maybe search through emails if you still have the same account from then (I have Gmail and don't delete anything though).

If you know your license plate number you can use mycarfax.com for free.
