My "new" car: Aegean CL-S 6MT w/ navi

Hello everyone, I am new to Acurazine since I have purchased my 2003 CL-S. It has about 207,XXX miles, and there will be many maintenance related things I'll have to do throughout the year.

One of the first things I wanted to do was replace the rotors and get new pads since the car shakes under hard braking. I thought that I might as well go with a big brake kit. I really want at least a used Rotora BBK but was having trouble finding the kit. I was also looking at the RL BBK. I also read about the Legend 2 piston caliper upgrade. Im also looking for a rear caliper upgrade. Not trying to spend too much. Any Ideas as to which route I should should take? All ideas are welcome

If this thread is out of place or if there are similar posts, please post or state. Thank you.

You got a beauty! Love ABP. There are no rear calliper upgrades that I know of. RL bbk is a good choice.
post some pics!

I don't see these cars often and everyone tells me it's time for a new car. If they only knew. To me this is the best coupe Honda has ever made. It's powerful, clean looking, rare and has everything any modern car has. I haven't seen a car that I can say can replace my CL.

Paint looks in really good shape! If you go with the RL BBK you'll probably need some spacers up front to clear those rims just a heads up.

Agree on all points! (and I've had a 90 Legend coupe)
Can seat 4 grown-ups, huge trunk, 30+ mpg on hwy, fantastic seats, headlights, ergonomics, visibility. Tasteful, timeless styling. Cheap and easy to work on. Made in USA (OK, now I'm digging....)

agree, this and the Acura/Honda legend coupe 6 speed are one of the best in my book

Nice car. Look out for the subframe rotting out, and broken ground wires, other than that it's pretty reliable. Good luck with her

would subframe rot be a problem in particularly dry climates? I live in a dry arid climate. I also read a thread about coolant leaks causing subframe rot. Thanks, nice CL you have too.

thanks. I'm not sure, but I think the main cause is the a/c evaporator drain drips right on the subframe near the passenger side of the steering rack. You can put a hose on there to make it drip to the ground if previous owners haven't already. Up here in the rust belt I've replaced a few already, and the manual subframe is a little harder to get than the auto one.

if you live in southern california like your page says, its extremely doubtful that it will ever rust through. mine has 225k on it and it was originally from Miami. no rust at all.
