my latest solution...?

Alright so I found a 2001 cls parts car that needs a tranny and has a salvage title. I want to know to start is the cl and cls trans/cpu compatible? Second I just got new tabs for my cl. Can I swap trans and dash vin but leave engine vin and be legal scrapping out the extras?

Too much bs for what it's worth?

Don't worry about VIN numbers.

Well its not to bad to do the dash ones at least they have a bezel around them. I just want all my numbers for insurance and tabs to match up so it's that much work saved

I don't think insurance cares about that. I've never had my insurance company record VIN numbers off my mechanical parts. Or even my body parts for that fact.
