Question CL-S vs STI?

This brand new STI pulled up next to me at a red light. I knew he wanted to have some fun. The light turned green and we both took off, I could immediately hear the turbo under the hood, but some how i got him in first and second then he pulled away but yet I kept up. Was he going easy on me? Cuz I don't think a stock CL-S could've kept up that close to a tuned STI.

By the numbers the cls will try to keep up but will lose in a close race.

Because he could hear the turbo. That must mean he's tuned

no... STI is 305HP not even close CL-S is down over 50HP... (remember in 2004 HP standards were revised)

CL-S is a 6 to mid 6 second (manual/auto) car a STI is sub 5.....

Stock CL-S will get beat on paper. This is a FWD and heavy car, but maybe the other driver sucks?

My buddy has a 2011 WRX with a exhaust and I hang with him in the lower gears but I beat him every time on the highway. Not by a whole lot but I win lol

I guess since it's a Honda forum we'll probably push towards the CL...

Go to an STi forum and well .... you can guess the rest!

Good luck!

BTW - I love my CL and it's dependability while I drive past Subies / Mitsus on the side of the road from time to time.

Have competed against many STI's at autocross. Never have to worry about them being faster than me. They all tend to have grinding understeer.
