Thanks. At autocross there was 1 Focus ST, 4 Fiesta ST's and 1 Focus RS. Focus RS was split between 2 drivers, and both had slower times than all the ST's. Drivers probably weren't that great, but Focus RS doesn't seem as special as people think. I heard in stock trim they tend to understeer unlike fwd ST's that oversteer. I replied "but isn't that what drift mode is for".

Hehe. I am only really putting holes in the removable parts/brackets, not body of the car. Picked up spare parts from junk yards.

You want to make fun of me for spending time removing weight, yet all you do is waste time on Internet forums not accomplishing anything. Congrats.

At OP's request:

I think that anyone that is drilling holes in their car and removing everything inside and still daily driving the car is kinda crazy. I hope that's okay. I hope I don't offend anyone with that.
Now, additionally, because you requested it. I think you personally are an angry man. Probably short. Maybe not a lot of friends because you claim solidarity but more than likely it's because you are not very nice or a good friend and people started figuring that out by your late 20's. No big deal, it's never too late to change. Remember, I'm just guessing here, I could be totally wrong.

I don't hide behind anything. You have a terrible memory but on more than one occasion you have talked extreme shit about this site, the members, and me specifically and how I don't contribute anything to the site. All I retorted was to do your homework. I have plenty of DIY threads to help others...I respond to every PM I get asking for any information about this or that. I came in here because I don't hold a grudge and thought, wow...that is some crazy dedication (and your holy parts actually do look cool to me).
And for the record, I only mentioned that I thought you, Anil, Tim and Rex were all nuts. Not sure how that's a personal attack...
kinda seems like maybe your dog died, your wife left you, or those penis pills didn't quite work as expected. Don't take it out on me.
But either way, I suggest you calm down before you really are a lone wolf with no outlet to share you passion.

IOW, brian1speed2inchdick3briancells aka shit4brains is a fucking cretin who is building a death trap.

The funny thing is, replacing the steering wheel is probably more for safety than weight loss.
He sits so close to the steering wheel, the airbag would have likely popped his head like a grape.

If you ventured outside of this thread and realized what a complete and utter sociopath this guy is, you'd understand why he provokes these types responses.

To be frank, the way rockstar addressed it was eloquent, yet respectful.

I have a theory:

A few years ago, he drilled holes in his own head to further pursue his weight reduction goals, but had very adverse effects on his social abilities with others.

The rules of self governance apply here also. The douche bag got butt hurt and started shitting in another member's thread, especially since that member didn't even post anything negative here in the first place. Now the douche is more butt hurt that the self governance isoccurring here.

Eye for an eye, motherfucker. You should have stayed in the confines of your thread. Everyone is tired of your bullshit, generally racist, one line insults you drop everywhere and then scurry away like a little bitch back to your hiding spot.

J has done a shit ton for this community. More than this dick weed. Fuck him.

Raced a Ford Taurus Sho today from 0-100 mph. It was a good race, maybe my best/most fun. Beat him, but race was close. We both pushed cars to max. I pulled out a fender ahead at launch, then kept that gap in 2nd, by the end of 3rd I was probably 1 car ahead.

Considering Sho has a 0-60 of 5.0 and does 1/4 in 13.0 stock, that is pretty impressive. Also considering sho has awd, torque vectoring, twin turbo 3.5 V6, better gearing, etc.

Not bad for a crappy built(by myself in a garage with no prior experience), big and heavy fwd N/A car that is 14 years old. Based on this I can conclude my car is a sub 5s 0-60 and sub 13s 1/4 on 200 Treadwear street tires with stock internal 3.2 v6.

Car is officially under 2600 lbs.

Will be doing clutch kit, magnesium IM setup, new exhaust, A/C delete, wider tires and much more. It is nice having money to burn.

Car will be under 2500 lbs, have more power, more grip, and better grabbing clutch next year.

For autocross the brakes aren't really needed, but stock brakes will warp rotors. Keep in mind the brake kit removed 17 lbs of unsprung weight which is a lot.

My current track pads just don't work very well at autocross. Have to drive around before my runs dragging brakes just to get some heat in them. I am also running same pads on rear as front. Will want less aggressive pads in rear.

Other issue is weight removal affecting abs. ABS delete might be in future. Braking still seems to be cars weak point.

No. Thinking of replacing huge resonator and rear muffler with 2 smaller resonators. I am just worried big resonator is reason it sounds so good. It would also be less weight, have more ground clearance, and more room for diffuser.

One other main issue is my coilover suspension. They are valved and sprung for a stock weight street driven CL.

My Zeals are 12k/8k. Every other competitive fwd car is stiffer in rear than the front.

Will be corner balancing car and using those weights plus my intended use to determine proper spring rates. Shop and rebuild shop will help me with this. Going to upgrade from Swift X-coils to X-Coil-R's.

Will let you guys know if the tsx rear knuckles can work also.

All this should be done in November.

After talking to shop, we probably won't use endless springs and just run swift springs.

We are in agreement that the front of the car is too stiff and rear isn't stiff enough.

Plan is to remove eibach front sway bar and re-install oem. We will probably go with less spring in front (8-10k front), and 12k or so in rear. Want to test with and without 4 point mid brace to see if it is helping or hurting me. Going to adjust/shim radius rods properly to allow more caster. Also looking into upgrading all bushings to spherical. Will corner balance and lower car bit. That is about it as far as suspension this year.

Dropped car off at King Motorsports today. Excited for work getting done.

If anyone needs professional level work done make sure to check the shop out, they are best Honda shop in whole country in my opinion.

Will get before and after IM dyno's so we can really see difference between my 2 setups. Not sure anyone has really posted this dyno info before.

Can't wait to see how much under 2500 lbs my car really is.

If anyone has part number or link to purchase poly front sway bushings for oem front sway bar, post it up. If not I can do research.

Well problem is I don't have car in front of me to measure if universal bushing kit will work. Could just go rubber route but would prefer poly.

Hmm oem sway is 28mm and Eibach is 29mm. Think I remember oem being more hollow?

ST sells a 22mm front sway bar.

Trying to decide so I can order and get parts to shop as soon as possible so they aren't waiting on me.

If it is anything like the 3G, I'd assume it is hollow...although there might have been a type s iteration that was solid...maybe I'm thinking of the progress bar though.
I'm pretty shocked you're stepping back on the sway...I have rarely seen where sways being too stiff throw off balance, especially for a track/autox car...I've only heard of front to rear not being balanced...
is there something you could tighten up rather than going back to an oem bar?

The thinking is that a softer sway bar would help with traction and putting power down. Changing spring rates would be more for balance. Could leave sways alone and just change spring rates. That is about all there is besides chassis stiffening. Can't say for sure without testing. I trust shop owners opinion since they build serious fwd race cars all the time.

Thanks. Are you running them?

Energy Suspension has some: Front sway bar bushing 28mm; part number SPF2819-28K ($36.18); they are poly.

zeta is a wealth of fuckin knowledge!

That makes sense Brian...
I've never delved that deeply into that sort of balancing act between the springs and sway bar...always felt like whatever I did was good enough, but I was probably not as far into it or pushing the car as hard as you do to be able to even quantify the changes.
