New to the Acura family - 06 TL 6sp

Hi everyone,

Just picked up a 06 TL 6sp in Anthracite Metallic, I'm glad to see there is a Colorado forum. I came from an 04 Sti so this is quite the change, good and bad. The good being that the car is soooo smooth to drive and the luxury is beyond my expectations and the bad is that it won't or never will handle as well as my Sti. Not too sure about modifying this car yet, maybe someone can talk me into it. Anyways, I look forward to meeting everyone, I hear there is a meet coming up on the 29th that a few members are attending.

you can add a thicker sway bar to tighten up the rear which will induce oversteer!

Welcome to the Acura Family!!! TL is nothing like a STI but I love both cars. My brother has a 05 STI and it is a joy to drive in.

That sounds like a fantastic idea although I'm not sure if I want to keep the 6 speed or trade in for an auto. I've had the car for about two weeks and sitting in traffic every morning and afternoon is taking a toll on me.

Yeah, I'm gonna wait to find a private owner who wants to trade for a manual TL before I start modding. Dealership is gonna kill me on the trade in for the same model car. So if you guys know anyone looking, let me know.

EYY~!! welcome to the club! got out of an 06 wrx into an 06 tsx. im actually glad i made the change.. altho i do miss the awd drifts and back firing a 6-10inch flame lol..
i miss the handling of the s techs with stock springs.. but i just need to replace my front leaking struts and put in a set of h techs or s techs... leaning more towards h techs.. dont have to change my tire size either.. got a set of bridgestone 970s at bout 200/tire with certs at discount... highly doubt i'll get anything close back for them..

Yeah... I do miss the handing and power of the STi but as far as ride comfort and smoothness, the TL wins hands down. Its sporty enough for me but not too rugged for the family.
