What do you wear to a house music concert?

Hey guys, what's up?

Saw I somehow got free tickets to see Kaskade live in concert outside in Miami, FL. The concert is next weekend - http://www.kaskademusic.com/tour/

I'm very familiar with Kaskade, and many other big DJ's such as him, and have seem out at venues (clubs, lounges, etc.), although never been to an actual concert.

The concert is 6:30pm-12:30am and is all outside in a large park...Keep in mind it's about 80 degrees at night, and 70-80% humidity outside, and I sweat like a pregnant nun.

I rounded up a pretty large group of females to come so it should be a good time, I've heard his shows are pretty amazing. He does some unique laser light show which should be sweet.

I'm just curious what do most people wear to these types of events? I'm guessing not the same attire you'd wear to a club? A girl that is going told me all neon colors, sneakers, and "swagged" out shades.

Is there a certain dress attire? Anyone know?

Thanks

depends if you want to be a hipster or not.. lol you can deck yourself in all that hipster attire, or just slap on some jeans and a shirt/tank and call it a day.

Well, do you want to be comfortable or do you want to look like most of the people attending the concert?

With those weather conditions, you can wear shorts with a nice breathable shirt and deodorant.

I dress the same way for a concert or performance that I dress every day-- for comfort, unless it's a formal event calling for a suit.

Just tape glow sticks all over your body!!!! Like, allllll over!! LOL.

I hate to break it to you, but don't expect going to this concert to be a part of some huge trance candy raver of the 90s crowds. Kaskade is actually more of a mainstream pop music nowadays. Prob be filled with of women on girls night out in regular clothes who enjoy the music played on top 100 stations lol.

Shorts, sneakers, shirt that you won't melt in. Nothing special required. I usually bring cheap shades to things like that cause once it gets dark and I take them off there's a good chance they are getting lost.

you mean something similar to my initial intentions for electric zoo until they got stolen from me?? =(

also, kaskade has amazing songs, but keep in mind, this will not be a typical club/rave. this tour he is playing 90% his music, be it new, old, or whatever. don't expect to go hard to a remix is levels or something

omg no. do not wear neon or "swagged out" shades. This is what is wrong with the EDM scene today. I'm a huge fan of this scene and have been going to shows for about 5 years now... it's changed tremendously.
i could go on and on being how this shit bothers me... but.. back to topic.

Wear whatever you're comfortable dancing in for hours straight... youre gonna sweat so a loose T or a beater is probably a good thing to wear.. and most definitely wear sneakers. unless its on a beach then sandals. Please dont join the toolbags and wear neon COME AT ME BRO shirts. for the grace of god.

That is all

have you seen my friend molly....? hahahaha been goin to shows for about 3-4 years now, but at only 19, not too bad.

a tip about party favors, i dunno if you intend to do anything, but being in pharmacy/medicine, i know the effects. i've never tried any of them because i enjoy myself sober, i dont even drink, but i know many that have taken molly and the like, just have someone to take care of you and be prepared to be depressed later that night and the next morning

I just recently tried it, was an interesting experience. But I don't think I'll do it again.

I like to try things twice, in case the first time was a fluke.

Wear whatever the fuck you want! Kaskade is super mainstream, so you'll find a lot of sorority chick types dressed in matching neon or something like that o.O

Also, be REALLY careful about buying drugs at shows, especially a show like Kaskade (dealers look to make money by ripping off "custies" aka people new to the scene or not that deep into it that don't really know what's up) There are SO many research chemicals out there these days too, hard to find good molly unless you know the right people. If it makes your mouth numb, don't eat it
