And I agree. The under the car scene was very suspenseful.

The anime?

Temporal lobes so no.
I still think the cognitive abilities needed to do a lot of what these zombies are doing in the show requires more than just a brain stem. I mean, they're hunting, processing smells, images, entering churches, searching RV's, etc.

Oh I agree. The church thing in this past episode was kind of paramount really. A la Romero's 'Land of the Dead' in a way. Where the dead remember something from their past life and act on it in a way. Totally contradicts what Jenner said in the season 1 finale.

did any of the "still alives" even discuss or acknowledge the fact that the zombies were sitting in the church like that? seemed like a pretty interesting development. i guess if you are living in that world though you are more concerned with surviving.

Haha, I thought you said you've watched almost all zombie shows. High School of the Dead is actually surprisingly good. It follows a group of high school kids surviving together after the zombie plague starts. One of the characters uses a sword as her weapon, so I thought you watched it, because you mentioned that as your weapon of choice.
It does a good job with showing how society starts breaking down, and how world governments start to lose its grip. I haven't watched Walking Dead, but is seems similar.

I liked Hellsing, back in the day. But since, anime does nothing but piss me off. Lol

Zombie movies, shows, etc, only waiver from each other by like 10%. It's mostly all the same.

Okay...anime, like TV shows, can have it's and some terrific series. Which ones did you watch that ticked you off...?

Sailor Moon?

AS for the church folk, I'm rewatching the pilot with my wife and noticed that the man and boy's wife/mom kept going to the house where they were hiding because she converted after hiding out in that house. A part of her knows they're there but can't understand why.

It's the general style of the genre that I don't like. So exaggerated, etc. I just don't like anime in general.

And I forgot about the black woman...

Good cliffhanger until next Sun. I wonder how Shane's going to get out of this mess.

Episode felt short too.

After last week's 90 minute episode, 60 minutes flew by way too fast. Another great cliffhanger, I love and hate them at the same time.

def enjoying the season so far, would suck to have your son in that situation and rely on a vet to save his life working out of a bedroom and need supplies from a zombie infested location!!! how much worse could it get.

Dayum...What an episode last night.

I again really applaud the writing and acting overall by the crew. The back-story, the current challenges...all so well-done. Really compelling conversations, too.

My one issue was the walker that went after Blondie: Why didn't they check the insides like what Rick did?

My main issue. Farmhouse completely wide open like that? Really? We just saw a random walker in the woods and they leave the front door open? I saw some barbed wire fence out front. Think they ran it all around and made the house into like a compound? If they did I didn't see it.

yeah i agree that the farmhouse was not very fortified, especially considering the vet lost his wife to this.

only a few miles away is that school that is swarming with zombies.

Only one zombie killing

Pretty slow episode IMO. Too much drama with the shot kid.

Two, I believe.

Shane took one out as he was escaping from the zombies at the high school...

Aside from the barbwire, maybe since its so open they can see the walkers far before they get close to the house. The fat guy already proved he can make two kills (almost) with one shot too soon?

My problem with the ranch people is they are still riding around in 30 year old Ford pickup trucks and riding horseback when there are unlimited abandoned cars only a couple miles away.

No excuse for the truck but horses don't require fuel that could be used for generators. I suppose there's no reason to risk getting a new truck when old reliable still works???

Maybe they had the horse and the truck before hell broke out. Some people aren't worried about driving around in style when most around them are walking dead....
