Man, you guys got some characters for pets! Just looking at all thses dogs is making me sneeze though, I'm really cursed to be allergic to to them. Love dogs though, I grew up on a farm & we had a couple German Shepards up, along w/ black and tan Dacshunds, all kinds of cats, and I had a couple pythons and a boa constrictor at one point. Maybe someday when I'm settled I'll have a few dogs, but they will strictly have to live outdoors.

That jack russel looks tiny compared to mine. Mine is about 30lbs and twice the height.

My friend's English Mastiff is 150lbs or so, biggest baby in the world.

Where did you get the mastiff from?

I ask cause my friend got his from a mastiff rescue place in North Jersey.

My JRT is about 30lbs now, but not fat.

thats a big jack, my friend has one and he's like 50 pounds but he is fat as hell. I got the mastiff from a pet store in woodbridge "animals and things" no one wanted him cause he was like 4 mounths old so we felt bad and got him.

You should get pics of your friends JRT, seeing one that is fat would probably be really funny.

Here's a pic of my dog, Buddy. I got him last week but he's already starting to make me a little uncomfortable. First off, he insists on being in the room when me and my girl are doing it. Second, this thing takes dumps bigger than I do. Third, I swear I've caught him smoking in the backyard. Too strange.

Not as ushers, but I will say that a few unsuspecting folks sampled "midget wrapped in bacon". I love open-bar weddings.

Back on topic before I get scolded now - I don't have any pets and have never had anything bigger than a guinea pig. I plan on getting an australian cattle dog when I have the time.

They have room for cattle in Rhode Island?

I want to get a new puppy, something that will stay small, a min-pin might be it.

These are a rare bread of Scottish Highland Cattle. They were actually on the Endangered Species list years ago, but are making a recovery. They are very furry, as you can see and both the bulls and heifers have horns. That mother, her name is blue, has the longest horns out of all the highlanders we have owned.

Yes, they are a friendly breed, very calm. The look intimidating because of their size (about 1000 lbs) and those big ass horns, but they are big babies. The two younger ones actually let you pet them. They eat alot tho, they tear through a 60lb bail of hay in about 10-15 minates.

Wait, they're friendly and calm and the young ones will let you pet them? What will the older ones do if you try to pet them? I guess oral is out of the question...

LMAO, nah the older ones weren't around us when they were born like the youngin's. The older ones will take food from your hand, but when you try to pet, they back up and don't let you get close enough.
Its too bad i don't have a pic of thier dad, he was BAD ASS. He was about 1500lbs and his horns came down infront of his head and the points almost formed a circle. He also had a bad ass brass nose ring! Too bad, he is now a herd sire for about 14 heifers in upstate NY. He was real friendly, let us pet him, but he was always escaping. He made the news one night for eating a neighbors $600 bush/plant

Yup. I got her tagged when I first brought her home from the rescue. I figured incase she ever got loose and actually ran away from me then I'd have a better chance of finding her with the name tag and then the chip too... she's the type that won't go anywhere without me though, so I dunno if its really necessary, but its only $40 or so I think.

Im getting my puppy microchipped when she gets spayed. its always a good back up effort if your dog escapes and loses its collar.

or if someone steals your dog and brings it in for a "new pet" exam. When the people are like, oh it was a stray, we scan the dog automatically.
we automatically scan any dog who was found as a stray, or dropped off as found.

I would microchip roscoe, but i dont have any reason to put him under anesthesia. and believe me you want to do it while theyre knocked out for something else. Those are HUGE FUCKING needles.

They didn't put Berra out when they did it (my regular vet only does tatooing, black tattoo on black lab seemed stupid so we had to take her to the vet my roomate works for) --- It was a big fuckin needle but she took it like a champ and stayed still and didn't whine

Nina didn't have any sortof anesthesia for her microchip. The needle was big, but for a larger dog like Nina it didn't seem that big ... They gave her some of that Kraft cheese in a can spray and put it on her nose so she was busy licking her nose, and they just stuck it in. She didn't even flinch ... or notice that she got a needle in her back. Maybe she's just good about the shots ...?! They scanned her for the chip to make sure that it worked, and it came right up too. No putting her to sleep or anything ...

It depends on the kind of chip they're putting in I guess though, maybe different types have different requirements about anesthesia and needle sizes.
