Revenge is such a sweet theme for movies. John Wick was impressive hope the 2nd lives up to the first.

Enjoyed first one. Can't tell what this one is going to be about from trailer though.

Hopefully this doesn't follow Taken and he got another puppy but someone killed it too and he must get revenge.

Yeah, hopefully this isn't just a rehash just to get more money. Oh, wait, that's exactly why there is a sequel.

The action scenes and fights were out of control. A lot of cool shit going on. I don't think it's as good as the first one and they really open up the story. Had a nice video game feel to it. It's a good action movie but not as holy shit as part 1.

From a review I just read, this is what I felt. Not really a spoiler but just in case.

Spoiler
Where “Chapter 2” stumbles is in its plotting. The beauty of the first film was in the simplicity of story married to Reeves’ quiet persona and performance. Avenge the dog — that’s it. This film involves sibling rivalries, long cons, pawns, bounties and double crosses. It ends, then ends, and ends again, extending the exercise far beyond its welcome. It should have taken a note from its star and kept it simple, stupid.

Only just saw the preview for this. I know I probably live in a dark hole or something but it definitely caught my attention. Need to watch the first one though before.

it came in #3 behind Lego batman and (barf) 50 shades. It did well. I wouldn't say it killed.

Crap I had read that wrong. Thought they said JW2 was #1 over the other 2. Makes sense. Kids for Batman, women for 50.

Loved it. I didn't mind the complexities and loved the weaving and relations / parallels with a certain other franchise.

I would say I liked 2 better than 1, BECAUSE of the added story and layers.

Will likely go see it again.
