Nice job Marble. Done very well. If you can play anything off Come Clarity that would be a treat!

Thanks dude!

I'll pick something off of it this week and get it done. I'm still gathering mics and stuff to get better recordings. I hesitate to do them with just using the camera's mic, but it seems to work ok. I do mix it slightly to get some better lows.

Love how Black Sabbath is able to keep going along with that old school metal kind of sound and it's still great to hear time and time again. As a matter of fact Neon Knights is still one of my favorite songs...... of any band, ever.

Anyone going to Mayhem? It's the same day as Sabbath so I went with Sabbath since it's near me and they're old.

Great concert. Sabbath still sounds great. Ozzy can barely walk but he still has a voice. And Tony and Geezer just shred. Even their tour drummer had a kick ass set and solo.

I skipped Mayhem this year, but I saw FFDP and Zombie last year. Going to see Papa Roach and Shinedown in a couple weeks

Sweet! How was the show? Their new album is on heavy rotation in my car. Can't wait for the show.

Show was great. Ozzy will tell you the name of the tracks. I'm not a huge Sabbath guy so that helped lol. He's still a great front man. Riling up the crowd and getting us going. It was a very mellow show since their songs aren't super hardcore as nobody in that sea of people moshed at all. And we do mosh down here believe it or not. The sound was great as was the lighting. The backdrop was nothing out of this world like say Muse but there was nudity :giggity: . The encore tease was pretty non-existent and even Ozzy asked for the crowd to chant for it lol. Guess he wanted to go to bed. Not a holy shit that was a sick show but a very satisfying bucket list show of one of the greatest legends of all time.

Anyone hear the new Five Finger Death Punch album? I like some of their songs overall like Hard to See and the one with Rob Halford from Judas Priest. But there are some songs that just sound kind of meh. "Burn motherfucker burn, burn motherfucker burn". Some of the riffs on guitars and drums just sound generic as does the growling/rapping/singing. They're very popular right now but I think a tad overrated. And wait till you hear the cover of Mama Said Knock You Out.

Great fucken show!! They played all their classics plus a few new ones which I sang along to since I've had their new album on heavy rotation for the last month or so...

Not as close as my last concert, nor as sober. A few pics...

Carnival of Madness

Got some pretty good shots from COM, we were right in the front of Pit 1, the crowd was very cool and laid back and didn't go nuts or mosh a lot, just rocked out and had a good time. Here's some pics I took on my Nexus 4

Skillet was absolutely awesome live, glad I went in and got to see them

Papa Roach was good as always, and for the first time in many years, I finally got to see their whole set.

Jacoby actually came out between the 2 pits and was right behind us. We didn't move up to the front of the pit until Shinedown was coming on.

These are my pics from Shinedown, as you can see, we moved up to the front

I met Shinedown back in 05 when they were opening for Godsmack, my buddy who has a rock show on cable interviewed them back stage and I filmed the interview, very cool group of guys, got to hang out and drink with them before the show.

Wow...good shit.

Bought some triggers off eBay for my kit and realized after closing the deal they were from As I Lay Dying drummer Jordan Mancino.

I saved the package labels and took a screenshot of the purchase.

Damn, THAT was a lineup!! Love all the Maiden backdrops...

I have seen them twice in NYC, once at Hammerstein Ballroom and once at MSG. Amazing shows, they never disappoint. How is it that Dickinson's voice is STILL as good as it was in '82??

After all these years Maiden NEVER disappoints and Dickinson is the consummate showman with the vocal chops to boot. Their 2 hour set was nuts! A fitting end to a great event. I haven't had this much fun and alcohol at an event since The Big 4 a few years ago and all the annual OZZFEST shows that used to roll thru this venue. I miss OZZFEST.

^My friend got me into them. Unfortunately my streaming service is slacking on them. They don't have all the tracks from all their albums. Guess I gotta rob.

Last night STP was here with Chester Bennington from Linkin Park singing. Ticketmaster emailed me tickets for $1.50 a piece up to 4 tickets. I couldn't make it though. I tweeted to one of the radio hosts I trust who goes to all the concerts. This guy has seen everyone from all the old acts that still perform like Styx and Heart and loves everybody. He's never said a bad thing about any of the concerts. He tweets me "very weak. Chester can't sing like Scott it was bad.

Just saw this last night.

http://www.throughthenevermovie.com/

Regardless of what anyone's opinions are about the side story (metaphorical journey/struggle) that's part of this concert film, the fact remains that a METALLICA show is a show that SHOULD NOT be missed!

I've seen them perform a number of times throughout the years from both the pit and the seats, but I have to say, this film was definitely THE BEST SEAT IN THE HOUSE!! Ur literally on stage with them, in the thick of it, u could feel their aggressive attitude as they shred from one classic to the next and u can feel the intense energy of the arena giving it right back. I couldn't sit still in my theatre seat. I was on the edge of it!

If u've forgotten, have never been, or just need a METALLICA fix then this is a must see! I wish it had multiple encores but I can always watch it again and then there's always bluray. This should suffice until they're in town again.
