What have you done to your car? MT or AT? There is no way my TL AT will run with my son's LS V8 Sport...especially on the top end. It just won't. And if we were to get into the twisties...he would leave me in the dust. That car is the best handling sedan made in America. It didn't out handle the BMW 5 series by accident. It's a well balanced car.

Just yesterday from a 15-20 roll I paced an older, probably an 01, Porsche Boxter S up to ~85mph, I had the hit on him, I think though he was starting to edge closer towards the end.

what year is your son's LS? my aunt and uncle had an early version LS and i didn't think that car was very quick myself. of course things can easily change with a redesign.

Not surprise here at all. Check out this video for the 2005 RL. Fast-forward to about 8:54 mins into the video and look at this guy trying to convince the public that the RL is fast. The engine sounds like it's screaming, but the car is barely moving...LOL.

The TL is lighter and will hit 0-60 in 6.3 sec where when I looked it up cuz i was amazed too the LS was at 7.2 for the V8 maybe in a passing punch the LS would over ride the TL but off the line I won

I have raced a kid I work with several times on the highway, he owns a black 02 LS V8 and I always smoke him pretty good, even past 100, he is just falling farther behind. they have good torque, but mid range is weak IMO. it is a very comfortable and luxurious car, but not a speed demon by any means.

my list.

03 Maxima 5AT(several
03 G35 5AT
05 Maxima 5AT
04 RSX0S
04 RX-8 MT
04 eclipse MT I/H, maybe more
98 talon TSi I/H/E
05 Jetta GLI(not as fast as mags say)
06 audi A3
00 740i
04 TL 5AT
so many more I can't remember, it is like a racetrack on I-95 in Maine right after work everyday and I happen to work for a large leasing company and most people have nice cars.

1. 04/05 350z 6spd (dont think he had any mods) from a 30mph roll by half a car at ~ 90 mph

2. 1998-2000 540i from a dig by about a half a car at 110 mph (damn V8s)

3. 05 Mustang V6 w/CAI, exhaust, and i wanna say some type of chip? from a 20mph roll, beat him by about half a car at 80-90mph (he beat me from a dig by half a car to about 80-90mph)

HAHAHA everything is by half a car...weird

Im sure there are a few more that i dont remember.

Boy are you wrong. I raced my buddy 6 times in his Lincoln LS V8 Sport w/280HP not the weak 252 that they used to have and he was eating my exhaust fumes. From 0-90 I had 2-3 cars on his ass each time. From a 20MPH roll he lost. From a 45MPH roll he lost. Through 1st gear was the only place he held up well until I hit second gear in my Auto and pulled on him good. Top end is where our V6's shine. Low end is all that Lincoln has.

A TL will hold up around the same as my AV6 did with that lincoln. I was bone stock at the time. Now he would lose even worse with my mods. GO TL's!

I don't really keep track on who I beat. But significantly remembered were the G35 coupes and 350Z. I don't street race nor challenge others, but if I do see a punk in any of those 2 cars wanting a go. I always welcome the challenge.

I kinda like the looks of the 350z..you'd think they'd be faster..I raced a guy that has a turbo on his and we went from a 60mph roll and he pulled only a fender on my srt and I was stock at the time.

350Z turbo can be fast, but it also depends on what kind of turbo it has. The SRT4 are built pretty fast. I was very impressed with it when my car wasn't supercharged and I tried against a SRT/4. He actually beat me by a few cars.

From a dig:

-Z32 300ZX NA 5MT Let off at about 90MPH but I was still pulling.
-~98 Maxima NA 5MT Went three times and took him three times. He even took out his subs to run.
-~98 Maxima NA 4AT Not really worth mentioning since I took the MT one.
-~98 Maxima NA 4AT Another one.

From a roll:

-90 MKIII Supra-T He mis-shifted, though, hehe. That was once, he got me every other time.
-96 328iS Dinan-tuned Lost to him from a dig, though.
-~98 Maxima NA 5MT w/BPU+ Got me also from a dig by about 3/4 car, from a roll he was toast, though.

~Cheers~

Oh, and forgot retired taxicab. It wasn't the Crown Vic, but the Mercury version. From a dig, after the first 10 feet, it was over.

~Cheers~

Actually it was at 108 mph. But I only ran a 13.4 that night. The Vette ran 13.7.
Ill give the excuse to the vette, and my car also, it was 90* with 100% humidity.
No car is going to give its peak HP with that weather conditions. I am sure my car will be able to trap at 112 also in 50* weather. But the corvette couldnt get out the whole. 2.2, 60'
