camrys and corollas
So I'm a proud owner of a 3g tl (auto wasn't lucky enough for a manual) have it black on black) and lately everytime a corolla or camry come up at a red they try to pull. Any reason? I know corollas can't contend but camrys?

Yes, let us all try to street race our family sedans...
You can engage in that stupid activity or be a responsible driver and just watch the idiots waste their gas and screech their tires.
On another note, I've driven a 2005 v6 camry numerous times and it's quite a light vehicle, feels much lighter than our TLs and I think are a few hundred pounds lighter than our TLs. (However, I'm not sure how much HP there is and the last time I drove that v6 camry I was comparing it to the 2005 Civic I had at the time :/). So it would be quite close, but again, only teenagers do that stupid stuff.

Unless you talking about 2013 and up camry v6 ither than that dint waste your gas. Btw i drove couple ES350 and its not even close to my tl in term of 0-100 mph given the ES has 6spd with better gear ratio.

Nothing wrong with Toyota, great cars. Not trying to knock em by any means. I owned a 2012 se at one point. Just saying that if you have an Acura, Lexus, Beamer or any nice luxury car in general you should just enjoy cruising around in style vs worrying about any commuter family sedans like camrys or corollas trying to race. They Can't have a race if you don't participate.
If an acura is a rebadged honda then I guess the Lexus es is a rebadge camry

Unfortunately, what's not dumb is when the street racing punks, having nothing to lose anyway, kill someone (such as your kids or wife walking across the street) in road-raged frenzy. The best outcome for them (if they choose to partake in this activity) and the rest of society is to be involved in a one-car accident in which they kill only themselves (saves the rest of us from having to pay their hospital bills).

BTW, you can always tell these threads started somewhere much more conservative than R & C, due to the people who compare those who engage in a quick street run right up there with mass murderers and serial killers, lol.

Lol true, i dont like race from a dig or straight line but i love to put some v8 ashame in the corner where their power put them at the disadvantage. Nothing you can do except for watching me passing and if you eant to give chase then over steer is there to welcome.

Glad you touched on that not-quite coherent rambling. DUI, cell phone usage (basic innattentive driving) and elderly people who should not be driving in the first place make up the bulk of the problem.

Fixed. Any '07 or newer V6 Camry will pull on a stock 5AT TL all day long.

Paraphrasing the article, it was concluded that the most ticketed driver tended to be between the ages of 30 through 49, usually a busy professional earning greater than $75k/yr. Seems like I fall into this category, though I've not received a traffic citation since 2007.
