Just curious if anyone has had their torque converter fail for a second time? I had mine replaced and the software upgraded last fall (about 20k miles ago) and the symptoms are starting to resurface. Gradually like they did the first time.

Well that's not reassuring... =(

I bought my TL this past March pre-owned. According to records, the torque converter software was upgraded November of the previous year but I still experienced the jerky shifts and low growl/rumbling issues. I spoke to a well informed service adviser and supposedly Acura had issued several software updates SUBSEQUENT to that TSB... but without any fanfare or official announcements. So it sounds like there are new versions of this software floating around but no one really knows its intent.

I am supposed to go in tomorrow... hook up my car, verify version and reflash to an even newer version. I'll let you know what I find out. Hopefully I don't need a TC replacement... my car only has 24k miles.

MAy need to have the entire TqC replaced.
