Hello everyone. I have an '05 Acura TSX with 112k miles automatic transmission. Just yesterday morning when driving to work I noticed my gears were "slipping". Car took off good and then all of a sudden it would just rev and not really move. I was able to make it to work as it wasn't that bad. But this morning it became worse. When I stopped at a red light and hen went green my car wouldn't catch the gear. I had to lay off the gas and then try again slowly. Luckily I made it to work but when I was leaving just about 2 hours ago it wouldn't even go into gear at all. Finally it did and I noticed that my VSA light, yellow triangle light, check engine light came on and the "D" light was flashing. As I drove it would just rev the RPMs and not really go. I had to pull over and turn off my car and wait a few minutes. When I turned it on again all the lights but the check engine light were off but the "slipping" continued. I had to pull over and repeat the process about 3 more times before I made home. Luckily I only live 8 mins from work but tonight it took me about and hour to get home.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Is my transmission done or can it be something else? I read a few threads saying it could be the APP but don't know what code my car is reading as I don't have a scanner.

When was the last time you changed and/or checked the AT fluid? I got into the habit of changing my AT fluid every 30,000 miles. I did experience the exact same thing at around 80,000 miles (about 20,000 miles into last ATF change). I did another ATF change at Acura and the problem hasn't returned with +125,000 miles on odo (still keep the 30K intervals).

I actually just changed the ATF but the problem still exists. It worked fine for abouth 5 mins but then went back to the same problem.
