Gauge Module Cluster problem

hi, I have an '06 TSX, 140k miles. In August '10 I had to replace the Gauge Module Cluster because I had no dash board lights (no Tach, no gas gauge, no MPH, completely dark). When the dash lights quit, I also had no A/C. The pull code at the time was U0155. In addition to the Gauge Module Cluster, they replaced the battery also. A year later, I had the same issue. Took it back to the dealer, this is what they found......Scan for DTC's with HDS, found U0155 (PCM Gauge Ctrl Module), P0462 (Fuel level sensor low). Fuel Gauge and Cluster appear to be working normally, DTC's were set in history (not recent), passed necessary tests for short circuits, low voltage, etc. Checked connections at battery (OK), vehicle operating normally at this time and after several restarts, error lights did not reset.

So now here I am in January 2013 and once again I have no dash board lights. Has anyone ever experienced this problem? Any suggestions? I have an appointment with the dealer next Tuesday.

Jackie

Soooooo, since I have not gotten any responses, this confirms my hunch that my problem is not very common.

I don't doubt that others have had some problems, but except for some 04 models, the kind of electrical problems you're having seem to be extremely rare with the TSX.

If anyone is interested in the rest of my story.......Dealer tells me it's the Gauge Cluster Module AGAIN! Three times in 2 1/2 years. So I called Acura Client Services and they have agreed to pay for 80% of the repair. In the meantime, they gave me a 2013 ILX, so I'm happy.

Well, third time is the charm, but.... I can't help but think that there is a problem somewhere else that is causing your cluster failures. Hope you make out, but I wouldn't be surprised if you continue to have trouble. If it were me, I'd fix it and get rid of the car ASAP (actually, I would have done that two clusters ago).

This problem is very rare. I have not heard of it before on these forums and I have been reading these forums for years. The problem that i have heard before is with the 2004 TSX models and their "center stack" lights going out (the lights including the radio.) But even the 2004 models did not have problems with their instrument cluster lights going out.

Not a TSX, but I am experiencing the exact same issue & diagnosis on my 2015 RDX. Waiting for parts - fortunately warranty covers the cost. So maybe not so rare for Acura vehicles.
