Engine rumbling.
So I just joined AcuraZine today to try and find what is wrong with my 00 tl.
Occasionally (not often) when I start my car my rpm's will be really low just a knick above 0 and the engine sounds like its struggling to stay on, and sometimes it even does that for a little bit and just shuts off. Any help is appreciated

Welcome Zombiegumball69 !!!
Is the CEL light on ? If so, have the codes read at most any auto parts store for free.
There's a good chance that the EGR passageways need cleaned. Also, check for a bad coil or vac leak.
Have the electrical system load tested, inspect the connections and grounds.

a clogged PCV valve on rear valve cover will mess things up too
easy to disconnect from line and spray clean with carb cleaner till ball inside moves freely
some extra info like miles, and any maintenance done or needed- ie: egr system cleaned or spark plugs replaced with some 2 buck stuff the parts kid said would fit..
and welcome- we can help you figure it out and the best fix

Sounds to me like 1 coil is dead.
Do the power balance test, while the engine is at idle unplug one coil and listen to the RPM drop, if you don't hear a difference in RPM while unplugging thats your bad one. Use the same procedure for all 6 coils, After testing one coil plug it back in.

Misfires code......check the coils as ErickUa5 previously suggested. Simple enough to try !!!

its usually just 1 coil, but that causes some roughness, not the drastic rpm loss OP reports
This car may really need 2 coils- aftermarket or dealer- go on price- about 50$ each
in stores
Plus the aforementioned EGR passage and port clogging inside the intake manifold- have to remove intake manifold for cleaning of internal passageway
The EGR valves operating arm itself can be bad/sticking allowing exhaust gasses thru at idle- remove and lube with WD, inspect crud buildup in the 2 holes egr valve sits over
to get an idea how bad it is inside the rest!
valve should be closed at idle and full throttle- otherwise open= for smog reasons
Open at idle- it wont run very well~

To be more specific, the first time I start my car during the day, it will start up fine and strong. But if I drive then stop my car. Then start it up again within an hour, it will (like you) struggle to stay alive, and the RPM will be super low, like almost at zero. Sometimes if I give it gas and hold it, it will eventually stay alive, and when I put it into drive and drive it, it will become normal again. But sometimes, it will struggle at idle, and even though I am pressing the gas, it will not rev, and will eventually die.
I am not a car guy, but researching the forum I figure it is either, clogged EGR ports, bad EGR valve, bad coil pack, or main relay.
Can any one tell me what my symptoms sound like?
Thank you.

Welcome Dannyfox !!!
Random misfires can be caused by many things. The most common issue is a faulty coil pack. Has the car's motor been properly maintained ? Things like a dirty fuel system, TB intake, IAC and clogged EGR passageways can play havoc with the motor's runability at idle. Various sensors, especially concerning the cooling system can affect the idle. Also, things like electrical connections and grounds can cause issues, so basically it's going to be the process of elimination. Good luck, start with the simple stuff first and get help as needed.

Reset the ECU and as soon as the check engine light comes up hook up the scanner and it should show the problem cylinder.
If you wait too long codes will accumulate and you will see p0300 and the rest of the cylinders.

^^ As stated above, try and clean out your EGR passageways and also your manifold. That'll be the cheapest first. If the issue still persist, then check for bad spark plugs... Buy a new coil and start swapping it around and testing for the culprit... Other options could be your EGR is faulty or you need to resolder your main relay..
There's a bunch of forums and some DIY's out there that'll help you out as well... Youtube as well.
Hope this helps!! And welcome to Azine.

rare is the amount of times we see a real egr valve failure
more common is clogging of the internal passages for the egr- inside the intake manifold
multi cyl misfire = 1 bad coil
probably needs spark plugs too, use only correct NGK $8 each plugs
