Transmission HELP!!!

I have a 2002 TL Type S with 76,000 I am the original owner. Last week I was driving on cruise control about 65 mph when the transmission disengaged after driving for about 3 hours straight, so I disengaged the cruise control and pulled to the shoulder thinking my transmission went out. Around 15 mph the transmission reengaged but the CEL, VSA, and the Caution light all came on at the same time. I went to autozone and pulled the codes and got P0740 and P1739. The car still drives and the transmission has not disengaged again but I have not driven it much since this has happened. The transmission does shift hard between 2nd and 3rd. I reset the codes but they came back after driving about 5 miles also the VSA and the Caution light turn off and then come back but the CEL always stays on. Now to my questions. Is the transmission going out or is it just replacing the third clutch pressure switch? If the transmission is going out what is the best route to go, rebuilding transmission which is the original to the the car (I did have the oil jet recall done) or going with the 06-07 honda accord 3.0 transmission swap?

This has probably been discussed before, but I am not finding anything after using the search. If someone could help me out I would be very grateful. Thanks.

try scrolling thru the main thread area and the prob and fixes
there are threads on the swap- which seems to run ~$1500~ total installed
not a bad deal at all
rebuilding yours.. in an original 02 case,,,2500$

how does the fluid look and smell= reddish, brown, black, smells like atf or burnt sugar?
whats the history of atf changes? ever?
you can try cleaning the pressure switches (2) and do a 1x drain and refill on the trans
(3.4 qts of HONDA atf from dealer) and change the external atf filter
That may keep you going for a while

the sudden downshifting by itself or running out of power- unable to maintain a gear=
let is sit 15 minutes if that happens= often means clutch material clogging the torque convertor outlet screens,,resting allows it to wash back off and get another 15-30 minutes from it

what do the codes mean? google will tell you
