This is what it feels like to debadge the TL

The TL residue came off nicely but the Acura residue must have come from NASA or something. I was rubbing part of the last A for a full 15 minutes and nothing. Blow dried the shit out of it and nothing. My fingers hurt now, I got blisters. I used a credit card btw. I got the goo cleaner on it right now while I rest and will try again in a bit. Any suggestions?

Looks like it could use some buffing. Some clear-coat safe buffing/polishing compound hand buffed with one of those little micro-fiber pads should do the trick

K I just went to work on this sucker again. I think it's slowly starting to give. If I leave the goo gone on it, in theory it should be doing SOMETHING. So at this rate, it's only a matter of days before it's completely gone. I'm going to wait before I buy anything else.

ALSO, TIP: leave the trunk open. The sun + goo gone should be slowly breaking it up. I mean, it's just the residue and nothing else.

Heat gun, tooth floss and a 3M Eraser wheel, done within 2mins with no residue.

Good suggestion but a $30 eraser wheel is slightly steep for most people considering you can debadge with nothing but a hairdryer, careful prying/tooth floss and $1 of goo gone.

I've always just dabbed an old microfiber rag in gasoline and dabbed lightly at adhesive, while rolling it over with my fingertips. Scraping it with credit cards or fingernails will mar the clearcoat more than anything. Just make sure to wash the area afterward and then wax.
